Three Weeks and Counting …

Kay’s Journey with WA

Introduction

Hi everyone, my name is Kay. I have been a Premium member of WA for the past three weeks. It is my hope that my post here today will help further inspire someone to keep pushing forward. My father used to say, “If it’s worth having, it’s worth the struggle.” I have carried this with me throughout my life applying that sound principle into whatever I set out to accomplish.

My Progress

Thus far my progress has been … progressive? There are days I feel I haven’t accomplished anything, while other days I can log off of my PC with a smile. Tired and drained, I knew that I had worked hard, surpassing obstacles to get my goals accomplished.

I have my site with pages and posts. I learned to use different font sizing and styles to make my posts more appealing. I have added images relative to the content. I even went out on a limb sharing my site with all of you.

Lessons Learned

The biggest lesson I have learned in all of this would be there aren’t any shortcuts. I am not referring to finding ways to accomplish goals through direct steps that saves time and money. What I mean is the shortcuts that I attempted to take in the beginning that inevitably caused more grief than relief. To make that statement more clear, I’ll explain what I mean.

Don’t …

    1. Skip through lessons – It may sound like a great idea, but you will undoubtedly miss an important fact or step.

    2. Jump ahead of your lesson – This may seem like the same as above and it very well can be. The difference is intent. You may not intend to skip lessons. You may find yourself so eager to begin you start projects before you reach that point in the lesson.

    3. Over criticize – One of the things I have done the most is over criticize my efforts, my results, and my pace. I want this done 2 years ago. That is completely unrealistic. I didn’t know about WA 2 years ago nor did I have in my mind to begin a website for financial security.

    4. Be afraid to seek assistance – If you get stuck do a quick search at WA (top of the page) to see if someone else has written about the topic. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. This is one of the primary assets of being a Premium member of WA --- access to the community. You can start a topic, ask a question, or visit live chat for advice or direction. It’s all part of the service you are paying. Take advantage.

My Goals at Three Months

·By three months I want my site streamlined and appealing.

·Necessary coding and tweaks complete for optimum visualization and navigation of site

·Have my affiliate accounts set up and operational

·Have mastered a basic understanding of keywords and google search

·Have a running ability to create posts and pages that will get the rankings needed

·Consistent new visitors and returning visitors

My Goals at Six Months

·Including the above goals and expounding upon them all.

·Boost my understanding of ranking in google and other engines

    ·Improve upon my content offered

·Become a better blogger in delivery and understanding of what my audience wants

    ·Earning income from my site

·Become a viable contributor at WA in assisting others through their journey from some knowledge I have gained.

Road Trip

It has been one heck of a ride. This is only week three! I have been excited, frustrated, happy, proud, disappointed, elated, confused, near tears, and satisfied. I wouldn’t change a thing about these past three weeks. I look forward to many, many more. I was never looking for an easy way. I simply wanted a map to follow. A map to get me where I wanted to be in life. Thanks to Kyle, Carson, and everyone here at the WA Family for the guidance, I have the necessary tools and support.

I have gas in the tank, drinks and snack in a cooler, my bags are packed, sunglasses on and the map. I am on my way. If I get lost, I will stop in and ask for directions. If my car breaks down, I’ll take it to the mechanic and get it serviced. I will continue my journey no matter what. I’ll wave with a bright smile when I see you guys on the road.

Indeed it is too easy to fall into that "trap." I've had to pull myself out of a few ditches along the way. The good news is, I have learned some lessons along the way! :) Thank you for commenting.

great motivational talk and some awesome goals for the next 6 months :)
keep pushing on, the attitude you have will get you exactly what you want!

Thank you, DanLarkin. I constantly must remind myself to slow down and stay on the path lol.
