Real men do cry

As a Christian I firmly believe in freedom of choice. It says in the bible that each person has their own journey and choice to believe or not to believe, that Jesus died for our sins to grant us everlasting life in eternity with the Trinity. Life is just a passageway to this but sometimes this passageway just sucks!

2 family members dying in 2 years from cancer. That terrible, terrible disease that the prince of darkness casts upon us with gleeful hands, while man scrambles around like little ants, trying to undo all the destruction.

Lord of Lords, King of Kings, I do believe that you are the answer! But as the non-believers of my family looked to me & my faith for comfort and prayers before their deaths, their own faith journey between them and God, their loved ones now look at me with crying eyes, disbelief that my loving God allowed this devastating disease to ravage their loved ones, while the believers are shaken and have just as many questions. As mere humans we do not have the answers and can only grieve together and encourage everyone to "Look up child" and pray.

Grief takes many forms, many tears, and many years. I stress bake and my family benefit, so I think this is God's hand gently leading me through the process to find a little peace and use me, a helping hand to other grieving family members (mostly male) to try and keep fed during this awful time when I feel so helpless.

I keep my wobbly faith, one mustard seed at a time but have oh so many questions though when I finally enter the pearly gates singing His glory.
