I achieved my minimum Amazon Associates payout

Today I received a very welcome message from Amazon Associates to say that I have earned over my minimum payout of £25. I have actually earned £28 up to this point since starting and should receive a payout next month.

The slow-burning reality

This has been a very long haul for me, as I signed up to this account in May 2025, and I have previously tried and been rejected twice before for not receiving enough qualifying sales in the first 6 months.

However, thanks to a little persistence and some help from a few friends (you know who you are), this time, I managed to make it past the 6-month cut-off with enough qualifying sales. Even then, I had to appeal a rejection decision because they thought I wasn't using the right links. They accepted my appeal, and I was allowed to continue. I reported on this in previous reports.

That was the beginning, and now, I have some regular clicks coming through my sites each month.

I have not really monetised them as much as I could, but I am very pleased that it is now starting to pay off, however small.

Clearly, I won't be retiring next month on this income, but it will help to motivate me to keep going.

And it shows that the system works, but you may need a lot of patience and the resilience to keep trying if it doesn't all work the first time.

Next steps

I have only set up the Amazon UK site at the moment, as my previous experience with the US and other sites resulted in rejection, but I now feel that I can create more global interest and hopefully build on this momentum going forward.

So today, I am celebrating with a mug of Lemsip and a box of tissues! LOL. But tomorrow, when I have ditched my cold, I'll but 'up and at 'em again' with all my might!
