Well gosh. I'm actually doing this whole making a website thing. It's empowering.

I can't say it was the smoothest process, as I'm a total newbie. I'd only done a couple of blogspot/blogger/wordpress type things, but never with my own domain name, and I didn't know the first thing about anything. Now I know so much. I feel like I'm in school, but learning something that's actually useful and <fingers crossed> profitable.

I added my site to my profile - www.mandarininthemiddle.com and so far, the only thing there is a header image and a Privacy Policy. I'll write the About Me page tomorrow, most likely.

I've so far decided to go with the CleanWP theme, which I thought looked really good. Simple, and for what I want to do, it seems like the best one, though I may be open to changing it down the road. I've written two blog posts on my phone, but I'm not ready to start doing that.

I've also used Jaaxy and found some really promising keywords. I've watched a lot of the videos, read through the entire Certification Course, and many of the Classroom tutorials. Just for an overview and to see what's in front of me, but in actually doing the work, I'm going back and taking my time to build my site the way I'm being taught.

Anyway, it's exciting and I am really psyched about it. I understand why people sometimes say they stay up until the wee hours of the morning because they're so into it.

I'm so into it.
