Does Paying for impressions with facebook ads help promote your websites rankings-My personal experi

Hello I made an experiment with facebook ads because ,facebook was apart of my articles for my own personal website about getting real estate leads and ways to promote your business,which facebook ads was one way of getting leads.

Well im about 30 odd pages into my own personal website and decided to try out facebook ad promotions which cost me $30 for it to run for 10 days,so I did that and I am now in my 10th day of the ad running,did it make any difference to my rankings?...It sure seemed like it has help boost my rankings considerably and quite honestly it is a bit nerve raking for me because my website is now ranked on the first page against some of the bigger website companies.

If it was because of facebook ad promotions it seemed it was all a coincidence that not long after and during the time my ad was running my rankings went from zero to 100 within 10 days that the ad was running,will it stay on the first page for long im not too sure about that as I have learned not to count my chickens before they hatch.
