Hi and Merry Christmas,
When checking my newly setup domain (1 week old) on https://ismywebsitepenalized.com it has the status definitely penalized by Google. This is kinda

As Alex and other says there was no reason for panic. Using Google Search I investigated the page statuses and no problems where found. Requested indexing of my pages and now they turn up when searching in google. A good learning experience it was and I found tons of good reading while dealing with it.

Thank's all for all the good advice and support.

/Cheers

Hi Dan,

Try not to panic, your site will not be penalized.

With new sites, this tool tends to give a false positive.

Sometimes if we purchase, a domain that was pre-registered sometimes it may come with baggage.

A way to check is using the way back machine, an archive of websites.

https://web.archive.org/

Looking at your site it is new, keep building the content and keep developing your site.

As your domain its self is new, then no worries.
Alex

Thanks for those calming words Alex. Still a bit worried though, but since I cant find anything wrong myself I decide to beleive you:-)

Hello freemem, you don't have to bother about the signal you saw when you used the tool above. Your website is still a brand new one and Google has not yet indexed it. Please, continue building it. Thanks for asking!

Israel Olatunji

Dan,

Please do not pay that online tool any mind.

Your site is just one week old.

It wll be indexed soon especially if you are hosted by Wealthy Affiliate

Enjoy your Christmas and have a prosperous New Year

Blessings
Maxine.

your site is coming up not penalised so....

Is it? When I check it is.

that'll teach me to read posts properly - i thought that was your site.
but as the others have said don't worry about being indexed for a while - unless you have told google about your site.
the only thing google will do is to not rank you - they will not not index you, they will index anything that is connected on the net - so make sure you link to other sites.
ranking is another thing- that is down to you creating very high quality relevant content that google thinks is relevant ot searches people are making.
sorry for the confusion.
i don't know your site url, so how can i check?
but wait a week or so and try again, you should get an email from wa telling you you are indexed.

:-).
The thing is that it doesn’t show up even if I type info:danomarie.se, which it should as far as I can understand. My domain is danomarie.se

i can go directy, but as you say usinng site: it does not appear.
leave it for a while and continue to put content on your site - if it continues ot not get indexed then you can move it all to another domain.
it doesn't even recognise it here as a domain name and highlight it.
I have not heard of the .se domains before - is this local to sweden?
do you use google.com or google.se to do your research? does it come up in the swedish version of google?
have you told google you eist? added it to your google tools?
the post i went to (Heminredning) didn't appear to have any links - this is what is called an orphan page ( google struggles to index these as it doesn't know where they fit within the index)
jsut wait it out - the back end of the web works an awful lot slower than we expect the frontend to.

Go to support-google and do a reconsideration request. Follow the steps they give. But according to Google's representatives there is nothing like sandbox there. Your site is one week old so give it time and do not rely on such online tools.

Thanks :-) will try that tomorrow.

I think the silver lining here is that it's a week old site. Think about if you found out 6 months later with tons of time and money invested on the site. I would probably ditch the site and get a new domain. You can probably reuse your content on another domain since the penalized one is probably not even getting indexed. I would set redirects just in case.

Have a merry Christmas and don't let this set you back!

I agree, would have been really bad discovering it later, I dicovered it more by accident while reading about search methodlogy on google and typed info:danomarie.se. Nothing showed up which surpriced me.

I will try jvranjes tips before I go for a new domain.

Hi Dan,

Most likely, the domain name history is behind this issue.

Somebody owned the domain in the past and got penalized for some reasons ...

Search engines will keep those records :(

Any idea if there is something to do about it ?

As far as I know you can't do anything :(

Those records can't be changed ...

Literally speaking, on long term you can improve your "image" but it tkes a lot of time and effort ...

If you think that the current status affects your rankings & traffic maybe it would be a good idea to move your content to a new domain ... And making a domain history research before ....

:-(
Sounds no good if that is the problem, but do I know?
And sorry to spam you with follow up questions.

No need for apologies Dan!

This is the very essence of this community :)

Happy to help!

Had a siterubix site named danomarie.siterubix.com (deleted now, a few minutes ago) that I migrated to my my danomarie.se. When checking danomarie.siterubix.com it is also banned. Looked up the history of danomarie.se and could find nothing. This leads me to think that there is something wrong in my content but I cant see what, Even if I end up buying a new domain I dont want to do the same mistake again. Is there a good way to review and find what caused it ?

Also banned or STILL banned? If earlier you were talking about the same site, it's normal to be banned ... The fact that you deleted the site within WA won't affect the Google domain history entries.

Based on your input, I assume that another WA member used the siterubix version in the past and for some reasons the domain got banned. As you said, the .se version is clean.

Make some research regarding the domain history for the siterubix version and if you find any data that is older than YOUR "ownership" than your content has nothing to do with the whole issue. If is within the same timeframe, than most likely is related to your content ... In which case the given online domain history checker should provide some info regarding the causes ...
