Fashion Awareness Progression
I have been so grateful this far for the fact that I can educate myself, have my own schedule, follow my passion AND can continue to help others through this medium.
Rebuilding the road to my passion
I started out 1 week ago to learn more about marketing and reaching people which had led me into perfecting my niche on so many levels. Of course SEO is very important so you can have traffic but in order to do that I had to know in what kind of way I wanted to get traffic.
As a fashion designer I want to give fashion a whole different attitude. I know after I closed my first webshop I want to have a sustainable driven company without any child labor, toxicity and the millions of negative effects on our planet. I am so passionate about fashion that I just know that I can not only bring that over to my customers but also to the people who will never have a chance to be a costumer.
Next to my webshop with self-made clothes and vintage clothes I am trying to build a foundation that will help women, children and youth of Zanzibar: School of hope. So I can not only build a future for fashion but also for children that one day might have the same dream as me.
Success for al
Unfortunately I haven't done that much on my website. I want to create a shop as soon as possible and give it my own touch. But I did work on an event with a friend that I am really proud of. We are planning a bail-a-brick event.
In a nutshell this means that you build a jail cell (preferably) in a crowded area and lock people up, those people must be able to call their friends, family and colleagues to bail them out in the city. Of course, we must invite our own friend, family and colleagues and hope that people in the city will sign up to.
After they get bailed out by their friends who will come to the station the money goes entirely to the school of hope where we can buy school supplies of and create new educational programs.
This way I also try to create publicity around my own brand and link it to sustainability and awareness of fast fashion. Still, have to brainstorm about that.
Life in the future
I hope we can visit the school in 2 months and my webshop with my spring/summer collection of 2019 with only sustainable clothes will be online.
On my site I want an art gallery where people can purchase not only clothes but also paintings, vintage designer items, see the progression of the school of hope and a blog on several subjects where the site is all about.
