Day 2: Content
Got the domain and the framework to MuscleCentralShop.com built.
The big lesson here is me trying to get it perfect and simply deciding to let that go. Since it's my first site, it's not going to be perfect. It just has to get up there and get going. The rest will come in time.
Priorities as of now:
1. Content. Create 10 articles around muscle building, fitness, fat loss, etc. Show actual training programs, link to sites like exrx and create affiliate links to well known books like Starting Strength and Practical Programming to get people started.
2. Organizing that content. Look at Tnation, Muscleandfitness, Menshealth, and various other sites to see how content is organized. Look at their color schemes, and start looking at ways to get stock photos related to fitness, muscle building, bodybuilding, etc.
3. Create a free e-book to give away about building muscle with affiliate links embedded inside. Have several sections related to the basics. Think of what you would tell your little brother if he showed up in the gym for the first time and thought "Now what do I do?" What's basic to you used to be secret, so break down the basics again. Look into graphic design for a cover of the e-book.
4. Sign up with Aweber under my pen name to begin to be able to collect e-mail addresses.
5. When you get stuck, as you're bound to, ask questions.
Keep moving forward.
