My 2024 Pinterest Schedule And How Pinning Consistently Adds Up!
(Title image created with DALL-E3)
Hi WA Friends!
Believe it or not, I have something for you today that "non-guitar players" might actually find useful. It had to happen eventually, right? Lol π
So, are you using Pinterest to drive traffic to your website(s), and are you pinning consistently?
The Problem With Pinterest For My Niche
Most guitar players still identify as male, while Pinterest is a female-dominated social channel.
Although the majority of my guitar audience is on Facebook and Twitter (X), I love the graphic nature of Pinterest, and there's still traffic to be had by pinning just five to ten pins a day.
The key is to pin consistently with enough high-quality pins.
My Pinning Schedule For 2024
My goal is to make five pins a day every Monday through Friday and tens pins a day each Saturday and Sunday.
Doing the math with ChatGPT4 (I'm getting lazier and lazier, but prefer to look at it as having more guitar-playing time, Lol), here's how many pins I'll be making each month:
- January: 195 pins
- February: 185 pins
- March: 195 pins
- April: 190 pins
- May: 195 pins
- June: 190 pins
- July: 195 pins
- August: 195 pins
- September: 190 pins
- October: 195 pins
- November: 190 pins
- December: 195 pins
So, at the end of 2024, I would have created 2,310 pins!
AI To The Rescue
Not even a Rock N' Roll guitar player can pull this off without losing interest, so:
AI and auto-scheduling make pin creation quick and easy!
I use ChatGPT4 to create the pins, pin descriptions, and hashtags and then schedule them with Tailwind, who is an official Pinterest partner.
And, yes you can still use hashtags to your search advantage with Pinterest, per a recent conversation I had with Tailwind.
You can use free AI to create the pins and schedule them directly through Pinterest.
The Results Speak For Themselves!
I began a test (not pinning consistently) for this campaign around the middle of November to design and tweak it for 2024. Check out the Pinterest metrics and chart below.
There have been 17 outbound clicks (an increase of 142%!) to my guitar site in the last 30 days, and I haven't even gotten started yet. Imagine what these analytics will look like in about one year from now, and the majority of my social audience isn't even on Pinterest! π
What's Your Pinterest Strategy?
So, tell me what you think in the comments. Are you using Pinterest, and what's your pinning plan for 2024?

Congratulations, Frank!
Thanks for spilling the beans on your Pinterest pins. You have become a Pinterest Super Star overnight. So, consistency is the key. I hear that guitar enthusiasts are popping up everywhere. Looks like Pinterest is for anyone willing to put in the time. It's co-ed now.
Looking forward to your Pinterest trainings.

That is an amazing plan you have, Frank.
I started a Pinterest account way back , before being aware of WA, but success has never come my way. However, I have been planning to start over again in the New Year with a new Pinterest account.
It's amazing how I repeatedly receive encouraging emails from Pinterest! I'll just have to see what the New Year brings, or what I can contribute to Pinterest in 2024!
Thanks Frank.
Happy Holidays ππ₯π

Thanks, Valerie! π
Be sure to start with a Pinterest Business account, which is free, so you can track all the analytics. π

Thanks, Frank, for the reminder of a Pinterest Business account. I will certainly do that!
Best wishes.

I now have over 10k outbound clicks per month through Pinterest for my miniature site and almost 5000 followers.
But for my Africa site this is a lot less and a lot more work, so I do think it would depend on the niche indeed, BUT I'm sure if you pin that much Frank, which I honestly don't at the moment, I'm sure things will go up as well, even though Pinterest is mostly for females as you say haha!
(hey, females like to rock too you know!)
Now with the new AI writer from WA, I will speed up my blog post a lot quicker, and so I can and will spend more time on social media, Pinterest specifically (and Youtube and Facebook for me). Curious about where this will go!
I think I will need to actually create an agenda and stick to it. Three days blogging and 2 days social media planning, for example. Because right now, I am all over the place lol
And oh yes, I agree, pinning can get quite boring though after an hour or 2, so maybe I would still plan the agenda in another way, not sure.
thanks!
Lizzy
Hi Lizzy
Wow, you are really Rocking Pinterest! ππ
Yeah, I know females like to Rock. I saw Jennifer Batten on tour with Jeff Beck and she was phenomenal! π

thanks Brenda!
A few things to note here: I have been looking at Pinterest classes from Jay, way back in time already when he first talked about Pinterest and my account is there from the start of my site, which is from 2019 (the end of that year)
So it definitely could "age and marinate" so to speak.
I am only following 150 people myself, so you definitely do not need to follow lots of people are engage all the time on Pinterest.
I used to do that because I was interested in the niche, but I don't have the app on my phone, so it stops me from wasting too much time on looking at miniatures lol! And I hardly spend time on it anymore for years now, only when I'm looking for another YouTube project that I could do.
So, the people will follow you, the algorithms will take them to your page!
From time to time I get a comment, but hardly.
At the holidays only, I create one add campaign on Pinterest, that's it.
Every time I have created a new blog post, I pin 2 pins a day for 5 days in the schedule, so I could go and start to get that up, because there is serious potential in my niche. I have seen miniaturists with over 60k followers, I would hardly need to spend time on my blog anymore with those numbers haha!
I do spend quite some time though on Canva for the right pictures, Pinterest format and especially videos are doing much better than regular pictures. So I think it will take me a bit more time then Frank or Jay, not sure :-)
But getting Pinterest numbers up is certainly a goal for me in 2024.
Hi Frank, I had to pause my Pins due to website errors I hope to get them going after the holidays. There are a few errors in GSC. The one I managed to fix the canonical tag so thats done but then another one about a 301 redirect says the link isnt working so I need to check why. ChatGPT will rescue me. I find that people are so busy with the holidays that traffic might be slow I am already seeing that.I need tonspend more time on pinterest like Jay teaches. I havent done that due to my SEO errors. Thanks Frank for sharing this. I know it works. Rock on π€! πΆ????π»πΈπ₯πΉ
You're welcome, Brenda! π
I hope you get your issues corrected soon. Uploading your GSC data to chatGPT4 is a great idea.

Good morning Frank,
How are you doing? I hope all is well with you.
Thank you for an interesting blog post about Pinterest. You certainly have a lot of pins and it seems like you have streamlined your strategy.
It's interesting that you use Tailwind, it's something that I don't know anything about. I have used HootSuite in the past, but that's quite expensive, I believe. I don't know how much Tailwind is, maybe it's free? Can Tailwind be used for other social media platforms, or is it purely for Pinterest?
Sorry for all the questions!
On another note, AI must be a wonderful invention for a muso as we know that muso's have one goal in life! And that's to play music!!π So, in other words, AI gives you more guitar playing time!
A very happy Christmas to you, Frank, and thank you for all your interesting blog posts over the past year.
Roy
Hi Roy
I haven't tried HootSuite, but I've heard it's a great tool. Although Tailwind is targeted primarily for Pinterest, it gives you the ability to post your pins to Facebook and Instagram simultaneously.
The cost of Pinterest varies according to your subscription level. I get 200 pins/month for under $100/year. There is a limited free version that you can try.
Tailwind claims to analyze your niche and targets scheduling times for each day when your views will be highest. They also have board communities where you can follow and be followed by others with accounts in your niche to help spread your reach.
Tailwind has its own "Ghostwriter" Pin-AI, but I prefer to automate the process through ChatGPT4 because it will read my article and make suggestions pertaining to its content.
Yes, AI has freed up more time for guitar playing, although I'm losing music-listening time on the other end because I'm spending less time researching and writing content, so it's a bit of a tradeoff. Lol π
I believe there are tremendous business opportunities for AI in commercial music production, but I would wait for all the copyright lawsuits that are coming to be sorted out before delving too deeply into that area.
I'm not interested in using AI in my personal guitar playing. For me, it's all about the fun and challenge of picking up a guitar and using nothing but my two hands and a guitar pick to create music. Lol
I did some digitally enhanced recording for a few years, using computer plugins to create models of various amplifiers, effects pedals, speaker cabinet mike configurations, etc.
I ended up spending more time turning knobs than actually playing the guitar, so I went back to basics. I'm lucky enough to have a variety of guitars that I can plug into real amps and just play.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year! ππ πΎ
Frank π€πΈ
Good morning Frank,
I know there are quite a few different types of scheduling software out there. It was interesting to hear what other members are using, as you can't beat recommendations. I think when I first tried HootSuite, it was quite cheap or even free. But it's obviously grown in popularity, hence why the price has increased.
I will have a look at Tailwind at some point, as I'm always pleased to find time-saving ideas.
I know that music is massive for you, Frank, I'm sure it's important that you have time to listen. When I'm working my off-line business, one of the benefits is that I have opportunities to listen to things that I want to, which is very beneficial and something I enjoy. So in other words, I know where you're coming from.
In some ways, I can't imagine AI being used for music, as I always feel it's something that comes from the heart! But no doubt, as you say, AI will have something to do with music.
I hear you, massive time, Frank! I believe this is what it's all about, actually playing the music and having fun rather than generating music! That's really where all the fun is!
I thought of you the other day; for some reason, Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" came up on YouTube. It's not a band that I know much about; however, what a classic song with fantastic guitar playing! To me, this is what music is all about!
I was listening to Mark Bolan the other day, something totally different, but still so unique!
A very happy Christmas to you, Frank! I hope it's a rocking Christmas!πΈπΈ
Roy
Hi Roy
I strongly encourage you to listen to everything Pink Floyd ever did! David Gilmour is one of my all time favorite guitar players!
I remember Mark Bolan from T. Rex. I can visualize that album cover with him standing in front of a Marshall stack with a Les Paul and a Slash-type top hat. Lol π
Happy Christmas to you and yours, Roy! ππ π
Frank πΈ
Hello Frank,
You are up late today, Frank! I guess that's what they call that rock 'n' roll hours!
I guess there is so much musical talent that I have missed over the years, not deliberately, but just how it is! My sister is almost 15 years older than me, so I do remember hearing lots of her music, which is good!
Regarding Pink Floyd, what an amazing guitar sound! With the acoustic 12-string, it sounds fantastic! What a classic rock song!
I think I probably mentioned that I used to play in the church band, Bill Legend, who was Mark Bolan's drummer from 71 β 74, he used to play in the band. He was a very humble man and a good drummer. I think it's amazing what musical talent can come out of different people!
A very happy Saturday to you.
Roy
Roy,
Pinterest I schedule directly on Pinterest under Create Organic Pin. But unlike the master pinner I'm only doing 1 a day. For scheduling I have the free Buffer Account. I use it for FB, IG, and LinkedIn.
For Guitar Players, I'm a Jimi & Jimmy fan! Hendrix & Page.
Gilmour, Clapton, Eddie V round out the top 5.
Hi Roy
Yeah, rock 'n' roll hours, I really like that! Lol π
That's so cool about Bill Legend. π
Happy Saturday!
Frank πΈπ
Haha, Don. I'm no master pinner. Lol π
Those are all incredible guitar players!
Do you play guitar or another instrument?
Rock On! π€β‘οΈ
Frank πΈπ
Good morning Donald,
That's interesting, I didn't know you could schedule pins within Pinterest! We never stop learning. I think the "Master Pinner" has it down to a fine art, which is fantastic!
Once again, Buffer is something that I haven't used, but it's something I regularly see people using. It may be worth me looking at Buffer.
There are so many unique musicians out there, Donald, it's amazing and fascinating! I must admit I do like Angus Young's kind of simple, but really clever guitar playing! I am fortunate that I like a good variety of music!
The only type of music I don't really like is Rap, I can't actually turn it off quick enough! I would sooner listen to my stump grinder rather than rap music, and I mean that!
Have a fantastic Christmas.
Roy
I guess real rock 'n' roll's don't like to be out of bed much before 2 PM! Although I see you as a real muso, Frank, but I think you have a lot of wisdom and intelligence that goes with it.
It saddens me that probably many musicians and comedians are really fantastic at their jobs, and yet when it comes to managing themselves, they can't really do it. Sadly, that leads to them being robbed of many good things.
Bill was a really genuine and humble man, like so many musicians, he absolutely adored his music, just like you do, Frank! Which is fantastic! I looked Bill up on Facebook the other day; he and his wife haven't posted lately. I hope he is okay; I know he's getting on in years now. He married a lady from the US and now lives there.
A very happy Christmas to you.
Roy
It appears we have, Frank the "Master Pinner" and Jeffrey Brown, the "Comment King"!ππ
Roy
Hi Roy
Angus is one of my favorites!
Another example of a simple player who really knows how to use suspended chords to create interest.π
Frank πΈπ
Hi Roy
Iβve never needed much sleep and wasnβt wise enough to take it anyway. Lol
These days, Iβm typically asleep by 2 and up by 8 AM.
Five or six hours sleep has always been just about right for me.
Happy Christmas! ππ π
Frank π€πΈ
Hi Roy
Jeff is the comment king! π
Weβll see where it all goes with Pinterest. The online world is getting more and more βvisual.β
Frank πΈπ
AC/DC Songs come on the volume does go up. Angus Young does put the energy behind the guitar...
Ditto Rap - It goes straight to mute.
A very happy Christmas to you, Frank!
I hear you and understand an amazing musician!
He certainly knows how to make that instrument come alive!
Have a fantastic Christmas.
Roy
Good morning Frank,
It's funny how different people need different sleep patterns. I probably need more sleep in the winter, I guess that's because of the daylight!
Getting to bed by 2 AM sounds fairly rock 'n' roll!!πΈπ But the main thing is that it works for you and gives you plenty of time to do your hobbies and more etc.
Have a fantastic Christmas.
Roy
Great minds think alike, Donald! I know exactly where you're coming from!
I'm glad to hear about the Rap strategy, that sounds good to me! I have never understood why a single Rap record has ever been recorded!!
A very happy Christmas to you and your family Donald.
Roy
Good morning Frank,
It was actually Mel in the Philippines who named Jeff the "Comment King", I believe he is one hundred per cent correct, though.
It's interesting regarding the visuals as I'm probably more of a reader, so I don't quite understand the visuals like other people do.
Occasionally, I have been redirected from a website to Instagram for more information. All I can see is a load of pictures; to me, that's not particularly information! However, obviously, many people see it differently to me, which is interesting.
A very happy Christmas to you and your family, Frank.
Roy
Happy Christmas to you and yours, Roy. ππ π
Have a great one!π
Frank πΈ
Thank you, Frank, I always enjoy the Christmas season!
I'm guessing as a musician that you have a very musical and rock 'n' roll Christmas!ππΈππΈ
A very happy Boxing Day to you.
Roy
Hi Roy
Christmas Day is mostly about family time, but I always manage to sneak some music in. Haha π
Now, New Yearβs Eve is another story! In my younger days, my band used to play until the sun came up! Lol π πΆππ₯πΎ
Rock On! π€
Frank πΈ
Good morning Frank,
I understand where you're coming from, Frank, it's good to kind of sneak your passion into the day!π
Out of interest, Frank, do you still play live and play in a band? I'm sure you can remember those days with great joy!
Keep on rocking and enjoy the Christmas break.
RoyπΈπΈπ
Hi Roy
No, I havenβt played in a band in about 25 years.
I have great fun exploring the various musical complexities of the guitar.
Itβs so easy to lose myself in new ideas for hours. Lol π
Frank πΈ
Good morning Frank,
Really, that's quite a long time ago! Although I guess with all the technology available, there are means of almost simulating playing with others. When I played in the band, I felt like my playing improved considerably over playing on my own. However, I believe that you are very much beyond that stage, I think you really know your music well, Frank.
I think it's wonderful that you get so much joy from playing music, I really do understand where you are coming from. There is really not enough time to do everything that we would like to do in life!
Have a fantastic day.
Roy
Hi Roy
Yes, I have a digital βlooperβ pedal that allows me to record a backing track and play over it.
I also have a collection of hundreds of digitally pre-recorded backing tracks, many of which I made.
So, for example, if I want to play some melodic phrasing in A Lydian, I can pull up a backing track and solo over it.
In the βold daysβ I would put on a CD and play with the songs, but now it's much more convenient to stream an album and play with the MP3s.
In high school and University, back in the 1960s and 70s, I played in several bands. It was mostly for fun and a little cash.
I also played in a Jazz club and taught guitar in a music store when I lived in Italy.
These days, I play throughout the day, 3 or 4 hours in the morning, and then I'll grab a guitar for 15 minutes to an hour, wherever I get a chance since I have them throughout the house. Lol
Now that Iβm semi-retired, I have the time to be in a band, but I'm not interested in playing onstage, etc.
I've really simplified the process. I get an idea and play around with it on the guitar neck.
I could do that for hours, and it usually evolves into something totally different.
Most likely, Iβm not as good as you think I am. Lol There are some really incredible players out there!
I totally agree with you that playing in a band is an excellent way to become a better player!
Rock On! π€
Frank πΈ
Good morning Frank,
I have just read your reply, Frank, and the first thing I think is that it's wonderful that you have really done life! I think it's good when people make the most of life, and I believe you certainly have!
I'm sure now that with all the technology available you can have a much tidier music room with fewer cables and gadgetry around. It's wonderful that you have created backing tracks, Frank! It's amazing what can be achieved with technology, etc.
Even when I started playing Frank, I just put a backing track on and tried to play along.
I'm sure that was great fun playing in bands for pocket money and more, Frank. I came across a YouTube video by accident the other day with a school band playing Guns N' Roses songs; they were good and extremely young! Amazing talent! There was also a conductor who I imagine was brilliant; he looked like he was really making them go for it!
You obviously know a lot of different styles, Frank, if you were playing in a jazz band in Italy!
That's amazing, three or four hours playing in the morning, fantastic!ππ
I think you probably are quite good, Frank, but the main thing is that you enjoy the whole thing! It sounds like you live and breathe music; it's good to have a passion!
I saw a man on, I think America's Got Talent, it was on YouTube and he was an English music teacher. He didn't look anything like a muso, but he could certainly play and he had a standing ovation! I like to see things like that! He looked the opposite of how you expect a muso to look! But good for him, he loved it and loved his job as a music teacher and helping the children!
Have a great day and keep on rocking.πΈπΈ
Roy
Thanks, Roy! π
Actually, my music room is quite cluttered with guitars and amps. Lol π
Playing along with backing tracks is great because it develops your ear.
Yeah, the band thing was in my younger years, and it was a lot of fun. I'm quite content now to play by myself, and it's always deeply gratifying!
Rock On! π€
Frank πΈ
It's a pleasure, Frank, it's good to hear people's stories and experiences in life etc!
I imagine your music room to be exceptionally tidy and organised, but full of good gear, etc!
Yes, I believe that Frank, I like to pick out the individual instruments when I'm listening to music!
It's nice that you can look back on the good times, but also enjoy the times right now! I know where you're coming from when you say that it's deeply gratifying playing music! Fantastic!πΈπ
A very happy Friday to you.
Roy
Hi Roy
Listening to music closely is an excellent way to improve your musical skills!
Listen a little deeper and try to identify the key, chord structure, and melody.
If thereβs a solo, is the guitar player building it around the vocal line, a particular scale, or arpeggios?
The more you do it, the easier it becomes. π
Frank πΈ
Good morning Frank,
It fascinates me how music is made up and trying to pick out the individual instruments! It's amazing how each instrument enhances the sound!
When I was playing regularly, I found that I was getting to know what was coming next, I don't think I would now!
And that is something that I would not be able to answer, Frank, (I would like to be able to), but I believe this would potentially come with experience and practice. It's fascinating how music comes together etc.
Yes, I definitely believe that Frank!
Have a rocking Saturday!πΈπΈ
Roy
Hi Roy
Just start playing again and it will all come back very quickly. π
Rock On! π€
Frank πΈ
That's encouraging to hear, Frank! I will start again at some point in the not-too-distant future, I hope. But in the meantime, I will prioritise what I have to do.
Have a great Sunday and keep rocking!πΈ
Roy
Hi Roy
Make picking up the guitar every day your New Yearβs resolution, even if itβs for just 15 minutes. π
P.S. I went to sleep earlier last night so I can stay up later tonight. Lolπ₯ππ₯³πΎ
Rock 2024! π€β‘οΈπ€
Frank πΈ
Good morning Frank,
I must admit I can't argue with that New Year's resolution, it sounds good to me. I'm slightly worried that I won't want to put the guitar down as it is very enjoyable! Maybe I need to use the Pomodoro technique like I do when I'm in front of my computer!
Or maybe I need to use the guitar as my Pomodoro break time!
I kind of get the impression that Muso's never ever go to bed before midnight! I would imagine midnight would be an exceptionally early night! I'm still amazed that you only need six hours of sleep, Frank, that's very useful!
We take this opportunity to wish you a very happy New Year and thank you for all your input into the platform and the great chats we have had.
Keep rocking into 2024!πΈπΈπΈπΈπΈ
All the best.
Roy
Hi Roy
Music is a real addiction for those who enjoy playing it! Lol πΆ
Itβs a great way to use your break time.
I donβt set timers throughout my day, although I know it would make me much more productive.
My time was micro-managed 6 to 7 days a week for 40 years in the office and the hospital.
It's amazing that an Italian came up with the Pomodoro technique. I lived in Italy for almost four years, and I can tell you they take their time with everything. Haha
One of their favorite words is βpiano, β which means βslowβ (and also the instrument). Lol
They really know how to live a full life.π
My body always did fine with five hours of sleep, although more is typically healthier.
All the Best in 2024! ππΎ
Frank πΈ
Good morning Frank,
Yes, I couldn't agree with you more, Frank! I used to pick my guitar up morning and night, even if if it was for only five minutes, but normally longer!
I believe it could work with the Pomodoro method! The timer definitely helps me, Frank, it can also help with too much scrolling, which is a form of procrastination!
I understand, Frank, when your time is micromanaged, the very last thing you want is a timer!
Yes, that's a very interesting fact, regarding the Pomodoro method and how the Italians function! I'm not meant to say this, but I think the Greeks may be the same, it appears to me that the morning doesn't really exist in Greece! I hope my wife doesn't read this!π
Is that right, Frank I hadn't heard of the piano term! It does appear that many of these European countries are very laid back. I'm not quite sure who has it right, I do know that it's very good to work and we are not meant to be lazy. However, I would say here in the UK, we work to pay for a car and a mortgage most of our lives. It's probably the same in the US and West Germany.
Whereas in Greece, they just enjoy themselves, the majority of time is spent eating, in fact, I wouldn't think that there is time to work! Most of the time, Greeks are out grazing, even if they have just had a big meal! There appear to be many bank holidays and celebration days! I'm kind of exaggerating slightly, but in another sense, I'm not, as that's what it appears to be like! Who is right?!
At least by not having too much sleep, Frank, it gives you plenty of time to do things and play your guitar! That has to be good!
Have a great day.
Roy
Hi Roy
Yeah the Italians really understand how to live a good life, and it sounds like the Greeks are the same way.
In the USA itβs all about chasing money. Lol
Without the proper balance of work and play all the best things that life has to offer can pass us by. π
Frank πΈ
Good morning Frank
Yes, it sounds like their lifestyle is very similar! In some ways, I think they are right, but we are also right! It's good to work hard, but it's also good to be able to enjoy yourself, and Greeks definitely know how to do that!
It's exactly the same here, Frank, literally chasing money!
Your last sentence is so true!
Have a fantastic Wednesday.
Roy
Happy Hump Day, Roy! π
Frank πΈ
Thank you, Frank, much appreciated!
Enjoy your day and keep on rocking!πΈπΈ
