From Guitars to Online Marketing!: Reflecting on My WA Journey
(Title image by DALLE-3)
Hi WA Friends!
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude as I prepare to wrap up my time here at Wealthy Affiliate. I joined WA in January 2020 to combine my love for guitar playing with building a website for fellow players. What started as an extension of a musical hobby became an incredible journey that has enriched my life in so many ways!
As I look ahead at 70 years old to fully retiring from medicine in January 2025, my wife and I have decided itβs time to embark on the next chapter of our lives.
(My wonderful wife of 28 years at our favorite Japanese restaurant after we voted last month.)
This means that December 22 will be my last day as part of the WA family. It's a bittersweet moment, but I'm genuinely excited for whatβs to come!
These past five years have been such a fun and inspiring adventure! I've watched WA grow and evolve, with countless improvements that have made the platform better than ever. Iβm especially grateful to Kyle, Carson, Jay, Eric, Vitaliy, Tim, Roope, Dale, Chris, and all the other super affiliates who have shared their knowledge, offered support, and created top-notch classes that guided us all to be more successful.
However, the best part, by far, has been the WA community! Iβve truly loved connecting with so many of you, sharing stories, advice, and, of course, musical tidbits along the way. I hope my musical posts have brought a smile to your faces and that I have helped some of you on a more technical level in some way.
I wish every one of you good health, happiness, and continued success with your online marketing journeys. Youβre a remarkable bunch, and I know youβll keep pushing the boundaries of whatβs possible!
Please stay in touch - I'll leave my contact info on my WA profile. π
Have a great Christmas or whatever upcoming holidays you celebrate, and all the best for a Happy New Year in 2025! ππ β‘οΈ πΎπ₯
Keep On Rockin' It, and God Bless You All! π€

Hi Frank,
Wow, how time flies! I didn't realize tomorrow is your last day here already...I knew it was coming, but not tomorrow. Aww, and I missed the live tonight, of all nights! I know you're usually there every Friday. You'll be greatly missed here for sure!
Anyways, wishing you and your wife all the best in your future endeavors! I can imagine you'll be really enjoying the extra time you'll have to play guitar now that you'll be retired. I'm definitely looking forward to that in the future as well, lol.
I'll have to look for your contact info...it'd be great to keep in touch! Plus, I may have to pick your brain about guitar stuff now and then. ππΈβΆ
Keep on rockin' Frank!πΈπ
Best wishes :) ~Sherry π
Thanks, Sherry! π
Yeah, I'm really looking forward to retirement, but I'll miss everyone here. I'm changing a lot of things in my life, and I'll be on a computer only a fraction of the time - mostly for music! Lol π
Keep on playing and having fun! π₯³πΆ
I sent you a PM.

Frank,
As I am reading this, I am thinking of a song with a pretty damn good guitar solo and one has come to mind.
Itβs: On the Turning Away by Pink Floyd
https://youtu.be/xEMy34qhQe4
For some reason I feel this is an appropriate song for your farewell: β¨β¨
β..And the words they say
Which we won't understand
Don't accept that what's happeningβ
Itβs been an absolute honour to have you here in WA
Your positivity, support and shine has been PINNACLE
A driving force that use music to lift people's spirits
In your medical world.. you help people
In your WA world.. you help people
βUsing words, you will find, are strange
Mesmerized as they light the flame
Feel the new wind of change
On the wings of the nightβ
Take Care and best of luck with your new adventures.
Regards,
Jay
Hi Jay
Thanks so much for this amazing post along with all your help and inspiration over the years! π
I was at that 1988 Pink Floyd concert that you linked to at the Nassau Coliseum for their βA Momentary Lapse of Reasonβ tour. The show was pro-shot over multiple nights and is available on a Blu-ray disk called βThe Delicate Sound Of Thunder.β
I bid $25,000 for the red Strat in that video with the active EMG pickups, just for fun when his guitars went on auction. The guitar sold for more than $250,000. Lol π
I absolutely adore David Gilmour's playing, and βOn the Turning Awayβ has a fabulous guitar solo. His playing is always so melodic, with just the right amount of space in his phrasing! Check out Davidβs new album, βLuck and Strange,β if you havenβt already. π
Itβs been an honor and a privilege to help so many people throughout my career. Now, itβs time to enjoy family and friends to the fullest.
Iβll see you in class tonight.
Rock On! π€

Yeah, Iβm looking forward to all the retirement festivities, not the least of which will be a lot more music time, if thatβs even possible! Lol π
The PRS will go great with your new bass and Iβll be looking out for pics of both! ππ ππ
Rock On, Buddy! π€π₯π€

AWWWWW! Bye, Frank!
I'm going to miss you and your cool posts.
I tried to retire a few years ago, but I got bored. I need this internet thing, lol. I have been online since 1999, but I gave up on affiliate marketing. I didn't know enough or the right stuff.
I'm learning so much at WA, and hopefully, this will change in the future :)
I have your email. You can use my email from WA. I will be keeping it.
Enjoy!
