New Ventures
Hi everyone! It has been a while since I have posted and so I wanted to 1st thank all of you! I bought in on the Black Friday Deal! and just bought a couple more domain names.
I love the outdoors and most of my day to day work is outside. I will be starting a new site called The Outdoor Dream dot com and fill in with my outdoor hobbies.
I also have a partner to help me on the East Coast with my paintings. I used to sell art out of a restaurant here in Napa Valley. That lasted for 12 years and then the place closed down by a winery named Kendall Jackson because they balked on their lease early but the owner of the restaurant got a great settlement out of it and opened an ice cream shop!
Anyway my partner and I have decided to start Crown Rose Compass. Soon I will upload some recent paintings to the site. She is my marketer and she will be calling interior design companies, real estate companies and has a few places already picked out where she knows the owner.
In my past years as an artist I like many could not live off it. I probably only sold around 50 paintings during those 12 years and at one point had on and off 5 to 7 public places for them. Never made it to a gallery. One Curator didn't even want to see my work unless I had around 100 pieces and already shown in places like LA and New York!!! Can't help but laugh a little at that!
I hope all of you are chugging along with your goals and enjoying the development here at Wealthy Affiliate. This is such a positive place to build new lives.
Kyle, Carson, Jay and all the rest of you thank you so much!
Mark

HiMark thanks for the update sounds like you are getting really focused. The art world can be challenging and it is true to say that not many artists make a full time living from their gift, you have described how the road rolls for many, getting a focus and should I say it using the internet can bring some marketing potential, all the best for 2018 looks like you are ready to go.
Alex
Thank you!
I hope you are ready too!
With my dirtbike site I approached suppliers to riding gear in accordance to where I was in the lessons but didn't have the traffic flow yet so I'm not too surprised that three potential suppliers turned me down. So I have decided not to give up on it but the art Idea she and I have been working on for a few months.
Also my outdoor idea I'm thinking might not be as hard to find a supplier? I'm not sure I want to do Amazon yet because you have to sell soon or they drop you...but I will put photos of kayaking, fishing and foraging trips I have done and look forcspme of the right gear to write about
Great to hear from you Alex!
