How Bad Do You Want It?
So my daughter and I and a few others from her cross country running team as well as a few of my Veteran friends like to do mud runs. We host 4 a year at a ranch down the street and actually travel all over doing these mud runs, various distances up to 8 miles sometimes and lots of muddy, often painful obstacles. What ever possessed me to think I could keep up with teenagers that go to state every year in running is beyond me but the obstacles help level the "playing field". I always finish last out of our team but at least I do finish.
I have always tried to instill confidence in my daughter and to lead by example. With my health issues just finishing one of these races is a success and I know she see's that. When we started there was a video that inspired us to race and still inspires me today to be successful. Whether it's a mud run or your business, you have to want it. The question is how BAD do you want it?? The video is below...

I always thought it would be cool to do one of those. I'd need to get in better shape first.

Dave, I'm no where in shape like the kids on our team. There is actually a guy I met that is in the video that lost over 200 lbs doing these runs. He got motivated and in the process got in shape. My daughter and friends finished the race in just under 35 minutes and it took me a little over an hour. They actually came back and ran the last mile and a 1/2 with me. It's all about the fun and time spent :) I am determined my health issues will NOT stop me!!
You are amazing.....no wonder great things are coming your way! These memories will be cherished for years to come....so will all that love......
I sure hope so. Not sure if she thinks I'm amazing or I'm just plain crazy but it sure is fun and I enjoy challenging myself, mentally and physically. There are many different ways to gauge success right? I like how it motivated her to do better in her own life with school and her riding. Not sure I am her hero but she sure is mine :)
Mom...of course you are!!!!! As a mother myself..I commend your efforts....nobody but another mother understands the lengths we go through for our children and their future
Oh my gosh we have been up all hours of the night already this month foaling out 40 foals to date and I have slept maybe 3-4 hours a day and still get up to take her to her UIL competition today and still go to all the practices and basketball games... and still get dinner and laundry done on time LOL... Like my daughter told me... being a Mom is my super power! I sure hope so :) And gardening season will start soon too... UGH!! She is my inspiration and keeps me going... and no, only a another mother Mother would know what we go thru...
Honestly, I am just in awe of you and your accomplishments.....I am so happy for your recent success......you truly deserve it!
It is SO hard but it is SO fun and the klds love that I am doing it with them, none of the other mothers will even consider it :) Oh well... I try to always lead by example :) Muddy or not... It's a great fun thing to do with my sweet angel... that is her on the left in the picture :)
That looks really TOUGH! Kudos for completing it. If you can do that, affiliate marketing will be a breeze...
