Break from the flock of negativity!!!

When I was growing up my mom had pink flamingos that surrounded her rose garden in the corner of our yard ( we had a big yard, grew up on a ranch) that was about 100 ft off the porch. We also had a squirrel in the attic problem... which my dad was trying valiantly to manage while training me to take over the task at my wee age of 8. My dad and brother were hunters and wanted me to follow in that family tradition so my dad gave me his .22 rifle with a scope and told me to practise any time I could.

The rifle brings me to my flamingo reference... I used my mother's flamingos as target practice. Boy was I in trouble when my mother found out...

Today I have pink flamingos in my yard and they are a reminder that our actions have consequences. Those flamingos also remind me that while we may appear that we are moving forward we are in fact stationary, we appear beautiful, bright, eyes forward but yet we are not taking that next step...

I have pink flamingos in my yard as a reminder that if I don't take that NEXT step... I could lose it all and become the victim of someone who wants it more than I do. The flamingos were easy targets because they looked like they were moving forward but in fact they were frozen in place... paralyzed... my flamingos are a reminder that sometimes we become paralyzed by fear... fear of success, fear of failure but though we look like we are motion, we are in fact... not. Don't be the beautiful yard art, take that next step towards success and have faith in yourself and your purpose. Put your success in motion!!! Take that next step... Spread your wings and FLY!!!
