Inundated!
If it's snow that you're speaking about ... that's us.
Here we are on March 8 and on our lawn there is a thick thick blanket - four feet or more - of snow. And in about 2 weeks is the advent of spring?
Well, today spring doesn't look too feasible especially when there is 4 more inches of snow in the forecast. But... do not limit the power of that sun. Even on below freezing mornings, those sun rays are WARM and penetrating. Changes are happening!
My 4 year old grandson just told me," Nana, we dug a little hole through the snow on our deck so the sun can start melting there." And that got me thinking...
About digging holes and insignificant beginnings-- in our careeers. It's not about the initial quantity or quality of our work, necessarily. It's about digging a little hole for ourselves to hunker down in and concentrate on our writing niche. So the space can become a warm, motivating desire witin us, and continue to broaden as we do the work needed. Our daily sunshine will be that motivating desire to reach our goals, to make a difference in our lives.
So, my encouragement is...Don't be inundated ! One effort at a time, one daily move towards your goal ( or more!) will make a noticeable difference...in just about everything.

That is an excellent analogy! It is so true that you need just one foothold, one place to start, from which everything else can grow. That's one smart grandson you have there!
