How do I promote my site?

Here I am new in this online marketing thing and trying to monetise my website but I don't even know how to promote it so people may know of it,i try by all means to create good content but I am not even sure if my content is good enough.

Sometimes I do feel like I am failing or doing things wrong,if I could I would quite this thing because I am not sure if I am making any progress,is it because I am out of my comfort zone,doing something I only got to know about last month and by chance,man it is hard to quit,i do not know how to quit.

Maybe I am feeling like this because I wish my online business was already making money plus to add to my stress is the fact that I lost my job and I don't know what to do and the rand and dollar exchange is so high when you think of subscribing to tools like JAAXY one can't stop to wonder about where am I gonna get the money for that but I am happy I took the WA yearly subscription,my mind is at ease on that part.

In spite of everything I have firm believe in Wealthy Affiliate and I have to be patient and work on my website even though it has been indexed on Google it shows that it is under construction,i don't even know if this is a blog or an essay,i guess this is a "long road to freedom" like my former president Nelson Mandela had said,destination is financial freedom.
