It's that time of the year when we pause to reflect on the past 12 months of our lives and the high and lows of our relationships, our health, our finances, what might have been and what is yet to come.

Many of you joined Wealthy Affiliate for a whole raft of reasons – to start a business, to contribute to the family finances, to develop that idea you had at 2am in the morning after waking in a cold sweat, to prove to yourself that there must be more to life than a 9-5 job, to get out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself. Whatever the reason, it is not unusual to sometimes feel alone on this journey, like you’re the only one who gets it. It’s tough, yes, but you are not alone. You will get through this.

When I’m in a slump or start to feel my enthusiasm wane, I always look to those who have gone before me for inspiration and motivation. These extraordinary people have all experienced the same fears and doubts you are experiencing right now and yet have still gone on to achieve remarkable success.

So, as my Christmas present to you all, I have included some of my favourite quotes from presidents, prime ministers, entrepreneurs, scientists, scholars, writers and actors that help me push forward with both humility and gratitude. To help find specific inspiration, the quotes have been categorised (ironic much) into the component of the WA journey that they best reflect.

Enjoy!

Here’s to a great year in 2020 – the Year of the Rat under the Chinese Zodiac, representing Fortune and Personality. It’s also a leap year (yes, extra day), the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the 75thanniversary of the end of World War 2 and the centennial anniversary of the humble Band-Aid sticking plaster! Another busy year of opportunity.

Thanks so much for sharing these quotes.
They are a great reminder of what people in the past have done to succeed.
Sometimes we feel like we are the only person to be going through a trial when many have in the past had to deal with the same issues.
All the best and A Merry Christmas to you.
