Motivation to work out

Hello my name is Marcelo and I will be writing about a couple of situations I encountered recently in my fitness training life ( I am a toddler still, I have been exercising continually for the last 2 years only)

two teenagers (boy and girl) talking comfortably while exercising:

I was working out one day and I happened to use a bench press to exercise my chest and on one side there was this couple of friends, boyfriend and girlfriend, I don't know, the thing is that they were bench pressing with very little weight(I understand we all have a starting point ) chatting about school, may be gossiping, to be honest I don't remember, same guys different day having a mocha what ever while working out, talking about school and their friends.

Other situation:

A guy having a phone conversation, I don't stare at people, don't follow them thru the gym either, let's face it, we hear people talking all the time, may be don't pay attention, but we hear them, I shared a floor area where they keep matts so people can stretch ( he was on the phone ), 20-30 min latter he was pulling the rope the do triceps, I was doing butter fly chest besides him, still on the phone

Two friends going to the gym, head phones one, both of them, no communication :

This is very sad actually for me, if you can communicate with your spotter, in this case your friend, and you want to maximize your work out, you cannot, a spotter is there to help you and communication is key, if you want to go thru your braking point, if the weight is too much and you cannot handle it, by the time he realizes that, it might be too late, you can get hurt

So what is my point here. If you go to the gym to socialize, if you go to the gym because you don't have anything better to do, if you don't have a goal set (something you want to accomplish), I you go to the gym or simply exercise not to maximize your performance, what do you go to the gym for?, at least brake a sweat, make your heart rate go up, if you don't feel your muscles sore the next day you work out, it is not enough. Welllll, I am here to maintain only, maintain what? the body that you are here to change, the body that you don't like. Mmm it is too hard, i cannot do it, plus I have a bad back or bad knees, you know what I say about that, I should not say it actually, my biggest inspiration is a guy called Chris, he goes the the same gym I go, he is in a wheel chair, he has to crawl to get to the machines, to do barbell shoulders shrugs he has to be in one leg battling balance at the smith machine, he does barbell arm curls kneeled down, so when I fell like not working out, I install flooring, long story short I am on my knees many hours a day, when I feel that i cannot work out, my back hurts or my knees hurt, I think of him, and to be honest I want to slap my self, if you have your arm an legs functioning, there is not excuse to be lazy, I could write about this for hours, but my point is don't let excuses control your life, set goals and make it happen, train like an athlete ( you can become an athlete ), by gradually intense (meaning push your self more and more ), unless you have a heart condition that does not let you go ballistic at the gym ( always respecting others ) yelling is not cool at all, at least for me, you don't have a valid excuse not to treat your body like what it is, a miracle and blessing of God.
