Life in the Internet World
A day without an internet access is like forever. Our internet service provider gave us a great deal to upgrade the speed from 25 Mbps to 45 Mbps (megabits per seconds). That is the good news. The bad news is that they have to install a new modem to support the higher speed. The modem worked well, and everything was cool for about a week. The family enjoyed the higher speed with fast downloads for pictures, games, and streaming movies.
Then late one night during a weekend, the internet went down.I called the service provider. The service center closes on weekends. However, using automated tools, they tested the system from their end and concluded that a technician is needed on-site.Good news, they also have an automated system to schedule a service call. The bad news is that the first available appointment is on a Monday afternoon. That means no internet from midnight Saturday to Monday afternoon.
No WA activity since it is no fun to read emails and go to WA using a smart phone.Life revolves so much around the internet, that in this modern age, a technical glitch causes a major disruption to family life.
Today our lives are totally reliant on the internet. We have all become slaves. We cannot function without it. The internet provides numerous opportunities for all kind of positive activities (affiliate marketing, e-commerce, social media, etc.).However, like anything else technology has advantages and disadvantages.Waiting for a day and a half waiting for a technician is one major disadvantage!

Thanks! you are right. But just think what happens if the internet goes down for an extended period of time?
Then the lifestyles of a lot of people will change drastically. Same thing if the government decides to take control of it, like they've threatened. But as they say, 'we are not promised tomorrow, so make every day count!'
