Branding Yourself as a Product

WA training reminds us that we should consider our brand. If the brand is memorable or interesting, it is more likely to draw traffic.

For some, it may be easy to try to brand a new web site if the site's brand is an inanimate product.

But, what happens when the product is you? If you are an actor, writer, hypnotist, weight management guru or other unique profession, you are the brand.

What steps should be taken to ensure that you don't damage your brand by publishing a website that is not polished?

I don't have a clear answer. Perhaps there is one out there which I've yet to discover.

What I do know is that I'm nervous. I don't want to rush to put a web site out there that doesn't inspire confidence. I decided that as long as I do something everyday to further my marketing goal, I'm on the right track. Along with WA training, I'm hoping that I'll meet my personal goals in the near future.

In the meantime, spending the day sorting through videos and editing pics for my new web site's images will have to do.

Until next time...

Because I tend to act very slowly on things I don't have any confidence in. I went with what they teach here and publish and then keep tweaking on it until it is like you want. I see that it helps to make sure I do take the time and learn and tweak because it is out there for the world to see.
Not sure this helps.

Hi Kymee. Yes, your comments do help. I'm like you. I'd rather move slow and steady in what I am confident in.

I know that WA offers so many resources and encourages us to proverbially "jump in." But ultimately, we each have to accept responsibility for what we put out there in the web universe. Our own individual names will be affected if we do good, or if we put out a poorly packaged product.

It has often been said that you can do a lifetime of good, and it can be brought down in an instant with one bad act. It's like karma.

We must conduct ourselves in a manner that we want others to treat us, with respect and honesty; and in turn we can receive the same.

Bottom line - I think we should always trust our instincts. We can't fool ourselves. Right? :-)

I think that sometimes we try but you are right it doesn't work. lol

@wtbee2013 Sounds like you and I may have had similar experiences. Best to learn from our mistakes so we don't repeat them. lol
