Why I don't give up!

I've been a winner all my life. I out swam thousands of sperm to get here and I've been winning ever since. Although my income streams from my online businesses haven't produced the way I'd really like them to so far, I'm still not giving up. Believe it or not, I'm still winning. I'm still winning because I'm still in the game. I'm going to play until the final buzzer sounds. I'm just one big play away from a glorious victory. So, I will continue to play hard and practice harder.

I win because I expect to win. My approach to life and its problems, love, relationships, and business is with an attitude of winning. No matter how tough it gets or how bleak it looks, I simply expect to come out on top. Do I always win? Of course not, but you'd never know it. Our fellow WA member Lee Gamelin posted an awesome blog today about the common denominator of successful people. You should read it, if your haven't. That post sums up what it takes to win. I don't give up just because things are tough. I apply more pressure. In most cases the additional pressure is just what was needed to win. For example, if I need to spend an extra hour or two at work to beat a deadline, I do it, so that I win. If I need to need to sacrifice sleep to keep playing x-box with my son because he's enjoying the time with me, I do it, and I win. If I have to revise an article 4 times to get it published, I do it, so that I win. I don't mind doing things failures don't like to do because I'm a born winner.

My success has no other choice but to show up. That is simply because I won't give up. I will apply the necessary pressure until it surrenders. I will stay up late and wake up early, soak up knowledge from others, copy what has worked for others and apply it to my own plan of success until I win. I know the buzzer will eventually sound, but when it does I will be the victor. I expect it. I don't mind the hard work now. I know it will pay big dividends later. I have internalized the following quote I learned in MLM:

"I am willing to do today what others won't, so that I can do tomorrow what others can't."

I don't even know to whom it should be attributed. But, I believe it so much so that my three children know it, too! If success were a walk in the park, everyone would be a success. Only those of us willing to roll up our sleeves and keep them rolled up will experience true success. My challenge to you is to apply more pressure and expect to win! Don't give up!!! You're too close.

I love this: "My success has no other choice but to show up. That is simply because I won't give up. I will apply the necessary pressure until it surrenders".
That is such a good way to look at things. It almost sounds as though you got it off of brainyquote or something like that xD
I'm loving the blogs of yours I've read so far!

Why thank you very much! I'm an old ex-athlete who refuses to let let go of that "I'm better than my opponent" attitude. It comes out of me every now and again.

I admire your attitude. I think of it this way: every day that I stick with it is a day thousands of others quit on. We distinguish ourselves just a little bit more every time we push a littler further.

Thank you! As a former athlete, (still with a great deal of discipline) I can tell you that you are right in my wheelhouse with that perspective!

Great post- a winning attitude produces winners...

EVERY time! Thanks!

What an elegant thought, Feemo, "My success has no other choice but to show up." I will remember that one along with your Jim Rohm quote of being willing to do today what others won't so you can have tomorrow what others will not have.

Great post!
Rebecca

Thanks, Rebecca. Means a lot coming from you. Shhh! I knew it was Jim, but thought it more effective to feign ignorance to it. :-)

I totally agree with you!

Thanks, Mike! Winners can feel what I'm saying. It's just in us.

Well said all through. Hard work, perseverance and the right attitude are the necessary antidotes for winning. You have the right attitude already my friend, going into everything with the mindset of a winner. That is key in everything we do and I applaud that. Thank you much.

Thank you very much! I appreciate the encouragement. It's nice being around and having access to so many winners!

Bravo! And thanks so much for the public approbation! It's appreciate well. Lee
