The Reason For the Season

Put Christmas into words

I have a question to all who reads this blog. Can any of you put Christmas into words. If you are anything like me it is hard to put Christmas into words because we all see Christmas differently. Which is okay because we all feel differently about Christmas why because it means different things to each one of us. What is the true meaning of Christmas to all of you.

The true meaning of Christmas

What is the true meaning of Christmas Everybody truly forgets the real reason for Christmas. It is the time of rebirth, love, compassion, helping one another, and forgiving one another. This is the time to reflect on the closing of another year too.

It was once said in another post that there is too much pain in this world. And there is no one wants to help neighbors or even get involved with anything in the community.

People used to help one another

When I was growing up the neighbor help each other. There was a saying that it takes a village to raise a child. That saying is true to fact at one time the neighborhood used to take care of each other and helped one another. Also you were able to keep your doors unlocked but things slowly changed over the years.

I just don't know what happen the older generation started dying off and things started changing for the worse. The old ways that we grew up with are now non-existent. We had structured in our lives and disciple we were taught right from wrong and we were also taught to respect others.

People forgot the reason for the season

Society has just forgotten what Christmas is all about. Christmas has become to commercialize. It is about how much money we can spend for Christmas. People have literally gone into debt for Christmas by overspending. At one time children would make paper chains for the tree, and make gifts for their parents, and that meant more than the store bought gifts.

Society doesn't appreciate what they have more or less on what they get. People are in a total rush, and what I mean is driving fast, instant coffee, instant food, everything has to be right now. People in general doesn't want to wait for anything anymore.

Why can't we be like this all year round like we are at Christmas

We all forget about what it means during the year but come Christmas time people attitude changes. Why can't we be nice, patient, compassionate, shows love, and forgiveness, why can't we be this way 365 days a year instead of one month out of the year.

No instead we are nasty, not nice, rude, and anything else you could add to the list. We shouldn't be that way, we should be better than that. We have to remember what Christmas is all about and stop and think about it.

Christmas memories and traditions

We all have Christmas memories and traditions that we had as a child we need to share those with our children and grandchildren. We need to bring back those things and share them bring them back to life. And maybe our children and grandchildren will share them with others.

We should all have an old fashion Christmas that would be fun. Time to slow down and enjoy what is right in front of us. We have to bring back the old ways because this is the time that families come together and share those wonderful memories so that our children and grandchildren have something to hide in their hearts.

We have to get rid of the pain

This is a time to be happy and for most it isn't a happy time. For most it is a sad time because of the pain that each and every one us goes through. Christmas is to be celebrated but again for most it is jist another day. We all have something that we don't want to remember but that is not what our loved ones that we lost wants us to do.

Yes it is hard especially if we are alone but we don't have to be alone for the holidays. We can spend it with anyone or anybody that we choose to. It doesn't necessary have to be with biological family. It could be with close friends that is more of a family to us. Or you can start a new tradition by helping out by serving food to the homeless.

Conclusion

If there is someone you know that is alone please invite them to spend Christmas with you don't be alone. This is the time of year many people that are alone either attempt's suicide or succeed at suicide please don't let another person become another statistic.
