Engagement With Your Social Media Audience
Kyle has done a great job of teaching us about engaging our social media contacts. Here's what I've been doing to implement that training....
First I created the following list of Scripts that I entitled "Social Media calls to action", of responses to my followers .... I've saved this in a Word Processing file and keep it on my desktop.
Thank you {name of person} for accepting my Friend Request and welcome to my Fan Club! I would really appreciate it if you'd "like" my We Want Congress to Pass Tax Laws in a Timely Manner page {facebook page, google+ page, website post} AND share it with your Facebook friends and other family, friends, and acquaintances. We the people need likes and shares to get the word out! Thank you in advance for your help!
Hey {name of person } I would really appreciate it if you'd click on the “Watch Video” tab within the banner on my {page name} {website, page url}. It is worth your time to watch and take notes, then take action! Please “like” it AND then come back share this page with your Facebook friends and other family and friends. We that are health-conscious need “likes” and “shares” for this page to get all of America healthy again. Thank you in advance for your help!

After a post on my website, I will then share on FB, Tweet on Twitter, post on Google+, and post Pics on Pinterest. Next I will open these sites mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and early evening and respond to those who have interacted with my post(s) accordingly using one of the above listed scripts. Of course I personalize it with the name of the person and the URL to the post to which they interacted.
It has been AMAZING to me the increase in Page Likes, Post Reach, and Engagement on Facebook. I find these results by going to my Home, then to my Page, then to Insights. Here's a screen shot of a page today
This activity was based upon one post to my WA-hosted website, which I then provided a teaser post on my FB page with a link to the Post. This activity started at 9 am and as you can see from the screen-shot created all this activity by 11 am.
I get the Notifications by email, which is also posted to my Smartphone, as well as I see them when i log into Facebook in the upper right corner of my page. I then go to my page, and click the "Notifications" tab which gives me a list of Recent Notifications. I then click on one name at a time, which takes me to their page. I then click on the "Message" link in their header. In the Message Dialogue box I then copy and paste the appropriate script from my "Social Media calls to action" word document, and of course personalize it as mentioned earlier.
I generally spend about an hour per day on this activity. Not only have I seen increased statistical activity on Facebook, but it has increased the stats for my websites!
I have mastered this activity on Facebook, but am still working at mastery on Google+, Twitter, and Pinterest. Any thoughts, suggestions, successes, failures, and other feedback would be greatly appreciated by me as well as the WA community.
