For any keyword that comes up as a result of a search, the ration of "traffic" to "searches" is always 0.17. Why?
This is the WA keyword tool. I hesitate to say this, but I feel that the data for "traffic" aren't valid as, for every keyword, the amount of traffic generated cannot be the same percent of the searches. Perhaps this is a question for Kyle/Roger...
I had a lot of success with Jaaxy. It is straight forward and easy to use. The WA keyword search is just about the same but it takes more time to get the info. I would def. go with Jaaxy.
I would also suggest using Google Adwords Keyword Planner (free) in conjunction with Market Samurai (basic is free). Check your competition with Spyfu.com and compete.com. Supersuggester.com is great for finding lateral keywords.Traffic is searches.

Cobwab, Thanks for your comments. I agree that the ratio is meaningless. Appreciate the suggestions for checking competition!
