Wealthy Affiliate is for me, 1st Success Story
First Success
I suppose Wealthy Affiliate is for me, as of now this is my first success story. Not overly excited but definitely pleased. I have been on wealthy affiliate for about 2 and a half months now and have gone through a lot of headaches. My biggest headache was finding out what I wanted to create my website about. I still do not know if my website is ideal for online marketing because I don't really have a niche for my website. I don't even know what my website's central focus is about. But I guess that is okay for now because ever since I have gone to this crazy theory my results are gradually getting better day by day.
Google Success
So after installing the google webmaster tool, I was able to see that after a week some of my keywords had been getting indexed. So I tested this out my self and sure enough one of my website posts was #6 on the first page of google. That was more of a relief then emotional joy. Finally things are working. Then about a couple days later I log into google adsense to see that I had made around $7 through impressions. I guess that is how it works. So little by little things are turning in the right direction.
Amazon Success
Then today I log into my amazon associates account to change my address because I had recently just moved. After changing my address I hopefully, optimistically, more wishingly checked my earnings report. To my complete surprise I found $5.50 cents in my report. Didn't believe it at first but then I checked the order report and saw the item purchased. It was something completely irrelevant to my niche but I guess that is the power of online marketing. People visit a website, they click on the amazon link, not in love with the marketed link, continue to shop and look around amazon from my link, then boom, a purchase.
My Advice
Not that I am even "that" credible enough to be giving advice hahaha. I don't even know if my website will continue to do well but it might. So I am going to give my advice anyways. I totally went away from the narrow niche theory. That is to make your website focused about one thing. I have about 5 or 6 different niches on one website. I did this because I thought all of the niches were so cool but not powerful enough to last on their own. So I combined all of them into one website because they all fall under the broad niche of "sports". If you have a great idea, run with it and see how it goes. That is my advice. You have an idea in your head of what you want it to be. It may not be ideal but if you think it is going to be so cool that it might just work, then do it.
My Unorganized Daily Website Routine
So now I have a sports website. Honestly, I have no idea what direction it is going in. I literally wake up every morning and just think how can I make this site more cool, enjoyable and interactive. I say to myself, "If I were to come across this website page like other people do, would I think it was fun and cool?" If I say yes, then I go to jaxxy and find a good keyword and go after that idea and add it to my site. That is my focus moving forward. Cool and fun. I learned all of the WA training and it has helped me tremendously. Kyle and Carson have done a great job with teaching online marketing. I hope my method continues to work. Thanks for reading.
