Did anyone experinec his application to be declined by Shareasale? And what may be a reason?

Do you own your domain?

Hello, Hill! Yes, I own my domain.

Well then that is not it. Unless they have restrictions on location like Amazon does, I think you should follow Jude's advice.

It was likely the merchant's affiliate manager that declined your application, not Shareasale.

Sometimes it is simply that you haven't provided them with enough information. You can do this:

1. Make sure your profile at Shareasale was completed properly, and the website you listed is directly relevant to the merchant's product.

2. Did you clearly explain the marketing methods that you plan to use? .(search engine, email marketing, social media, etc.)

3. Check the merchant terms and make sure they don't prohibit marketing methods that you mentioned in your profile or application.

4. Write a friendly email to the affiliate manager, for example:

----Hi (Affiliate Manager), my name is .... I applied to your affiliate program and was declined. I believe I can do a great job for you. Here's what I have in mind: (explain how you'll promote their product)

Could you please reconsider? If you still don't think we're a good fit, I would greatly appreciate your letting me know what the issues are so that I can correct them?

Thanks for your time,

Your Contact info (preferably your domain email address) ~ Jude

Thank you, Judebanks, for your detailed reply!

I think the application was declined by Shareasale, not merchant because at this stage I did not mention a merchant yet.

I am thinking this might be because of my location, I am in India, not in US, however not sure if this could be a reason.

Good that my merchant has 3 affiliate programs and I already sent application for another one (eBay).

If I don't receive a positive reply, I will email directly to merchant as per your draft.

Thank you once again.

Yes, Shareasale issue the commission payments on behalf of the merchants. Maybe you need to specify receiving payments by check as they may not have direct deposits in India, or you may need to use their Payoneer option.

Thank you, Jude for a very valuable link and good information! :)

I have been declined by numerous affiliate networks.
Mostly at the beginning of my site.
I suspected because:
- My website has not enough contents
- I don't understand the TOU.
- I may a bit too pushy on them.

Hello AriefWibowo!
Thank you for sharing your experience.
This is demotivating.... isn't it?
I will make sure that my web-site has more content as I also thought this could be one of the reasons.
Thanks again.

Not at all. Rejections are part of the game.

Would you recommend the affiliate networks which are easier to get approved by?

I looked at your website and it is good. Maybe the traffic to the site is not enough yet.

Don't let this demotivate you...it happens all the time and mostly it is a matter of understanding why they don't think you are a good fit. You might be able to fix what it is that they need, if only they will tell you!

~Jude

Amazon. I would recommend Amazon.
But I also accepted by Linkshare/Rakuten which have a tremendous amount of Dress affiliates.

I noticed that your website is still empty. Most of the link said "Coming Soon For any questions please email..."

That is a no no no.. for applying an affiliate.

If you are not ready, do not put the page yet. Or at least, make 1 post for each "coming soon". Then re-apply.

Affiliates will see "coming soon" as an incomplete website. Especially at your stage, which is true.

Jude, thank you for looking into my website and liking it.

This is the thing, they did not tell me the reason saying
"In order to maintain the integrity of our network, we are unable to go into more detail as to why your application was declined at this time."
:(

I don't know if I should be a bit pushy and try to chase them further or just wait for a while and try other networks at the meantime.

By the way I checked the link to FAQ you sent and India is in the list of countries they pay direct deposit.

Arief, I see now. I will remove empty pages then. Thank you again for all your help and advices!

You are welcome. I know you meant well with all the categories. Just put them there again when you have more contents.
