2 month update
Hey WA colleagues,
Getting close to the end of course 4, so here is my update and my experiences so far.
As I've read Kyle's rivers and mountains post where he states that it will take months before things will fall into place and you shouldn't "worry" before, I do have some concerns.
First of all, I know it takes time to get traffic to your website, but as I already have an Instagram account for over 2 years with more then 11.000 followers related to my niche, it is a way for me to get people to my website before generating organic search traffic. In the past 2 months, I've had 562 unique visitors on my website like this. It is not a huge amount, but at least it's something already. What worries me though, is the fact that nobody bought any stuff on amazon through my affiliate links. And with my Google Adsense I have made 2 dollars so far, and 1 dollar came from youtube videos. So far I've only had 6 visitors from organic search. I have +- 20 pages and posts on my website and for the moment I'm writing 2 a week. I come home around 6 or 7 every day from work and most days I still put in 2 hours of WA courses after work, so it is a lot of hard work. Although the last 2 weeks it has become less as a lot of the tasks consist of "write a new post", which takes research and time to complete.
So, something I have learned so far? That it IS quite hard to keep the motivation going, but I do not plan to quit, I also just like to share useful information with my followers. But of course we are all here to make money, not just to share our knowledge. It already makes me look at other options like ecommerce. I have noticed that more people here think like that?
My initial plan (from the moment I started my Instagram account) was to write an ebook with valuable information on my niche to share my experience in a more detailed way. So maybe this is a better way to go to make money with it. I am writing on it for half year now and plan and hope to finish it within a month. The only difficulty with that is "what do I put on my website for free and what do I put in the ebook"?
What I am proud of? That people look at me as someone who can give them advice on the niche and that I was approached by a quite known company in the niche world so they send me their products (last shipment with a value of over 400 dollars) for free. But does it have anything to do with what i've learned here? No, because that was all before that. It had everything to do with my Instagram account. I AM proud also of the fact that I finally started my website as this was something I wanted to do for more than a year, so that's something WA helped me with for sure. I only hope that the hard work will start to pay off...
I already made a planning in the beginning of the year to go through with WA for 6 months, to make enough money to buy an ecommerce course and get going with that then. Building my own brand with private labeling. I sincerely hope that by the 6 month mark, I will have made more then those 2 dollars with google adsense, at least enough to pay for the course and preferably something extra.
Anyway I am not planning to sit still, this year is the year I will try every possible way to start a profitable online business, it is clear it will cost a lot of frustration and time. But it is what I want, it is the lifestyle I want to have and the freedom that comes with it. I hope I will see some better results soon. If not, I need to rethink my strategy and approach and find the motivation along the way to keep putting all the effort in it.
I hope I didn't demotivate you with this post, just sharing my honest experience :-)
Cheers,
Stijn

Actually I'm new to WA and you did demotivate me, I mean if you didn't exactly make money within WA with your internet experience, what about myself with zero experience
We all have our own journey, Kaone. Success is measured in many forms not just monetary. We can see someone's ranking and when they joined, but you don't know what went on behind the scenes.
Follow the training step by step and do each and every task. Do not proceed until you've fully completed and understood that lesson.
I love reading other people's journey, but the will neither deter me from nor propel me forward. That can only come from within.

Greetings,
I appreciate your honesty in sharing your journey, Stijn. People need to know that a business - any business - takes time to develop. There have been many frustrations for me, but I love the fact that there are so many different elements to incorporate into our online business. If Google Adsense isn't working for you, look into other affiliate networks; if Facebook isn't your thing, try Twitter, LinkedIn or Pinterest; eBooks seem to be hot, if you don't have time to write your own, promote someone else's. All the solutions we need are right at our fingertips.
All the best moving forward, Stijn.
Hey Veronica, thanks for the reply. Idd every business takes time to develop and I'm well aware of that. What works for one person maybe doesn't work for somebody else and I also believe every niche needs a different approach. WA is idd the place to find all the information you need to incorporate into your business and the community is also a big plus.
On the upside, the last few days I finally start to see some organic search traffic and hey, that 2 dollars became 3 dollars today so there's at least some progress :-)
