Tis the Season to Keep Warm

I'm in the process of researching my niche and want to ask others to share their own story. The niche is personal comfort and warmth related and I figure just about everyone has a unique story they could share. Even briefly.

I don't want to specifically describe the niche because I don't want to limit the potential of discovery.

So without further ado, allow me to ask you, when you think of your own *physical personal comfort and warmth or that of someone you know, even your children, spouse, pets, etc., what comes to mind?

Ellen

I think of lying on the beach after a swim and someone giving me a good massage, feeling the warm healthy sun penetrate my bones, pleasant smells wafting from wild flowers, some funky music and nice people around.

What do you have with you on the beach? Anything?

My towel to put over my head, sunglasses, suntan lotion and maybe a cheap phone.

I'm fortunate that I'm going to be warm this season.

First thing that comes to mind are the pine cones I used to gather in the Autumn to burn in our fire place! These make the home smell wonderful and create warmth too. Sometimes this was all we needed to take the chill off of an early morning. I love to see a basket near the stack of wood to start the fire with! I have seen a shop that carried scented wax dipped cones, which are lovely to use! Ah, if we all could have a wood burning stove or fire place!

I might add here that I think it's important to stay warm in the cold seasons because, despite what they say about catching a cold is not caused by getting cold, I disagree. I catch a cold every year, as soon as I get a big chill. This year, I have been at home, not riding transport, keeping snug and warm and for the first year ever, no cold or flu, knock on wood! I keep sweaters and throws handy and put them on at the first feeling of chill. I try to regulate the heater just so, as well. I don't advocate staying inside all of the time. Get out in the snow, but dress the part! Come inside when your feet sting and have a hot cup of tea or cocoa!

Ok, those are kind of two stories. I am not sure if this is what you are hoping to read. Good luck and we all are going to be curious about your niche! Good idea to post this request! Lynne

Exactly what I had hoped for, Lynne! Thank you. Both of your stories have helped. I'll be sure to let you know what my niche is once I have the website up and running. Ellen

Thanks, hoping you remember me!

When I think of my family I just can´t stop smiling. Sometimes through tears as we are separated by seas but a smile nonetheless. Consoled by the fact that I will be with my parents, my sister and my wonderful son at Christmas when I visit the UK :)

Thank you, Sean. Wow. Must be difficult being so far away from your family. Happy you'll be able to visit over Christmas!

I guess I should have been more specific after all though.

What comes to mind when you think of your personal *physical comfort and warmth? For example, slippers, socks, bedding, etc. Did you or do you have a favorite place to cuddle up and stay warm during your down/relaxation time? Do you use anything specific to help?
