Super Affiliate Challenge - Update on Goals

Although I am currently behind site content goals: 40,000 words with 24 articles, I still feel like I am making terrific progress. I am currently at 11 articles with 17,437 words.

My biggest problem is getting down on myself when I fall behind. I do plan on reaching that goal no matter what by March 4th, but life does happen and gets in the way sometimes.

I hope everybody is setting high, but achievable goals throughout this process. I recently watched a video of a man talking to college students asking them how bad they wanted success. He told the following story that I think is constructive.

A young man approached successful businessman and said he wanted to be like him. The business Guru told him to meet him on the beach at 4:00 AM. The young man thought the man must have be crazy. Why would he want me on the beach at 4:00 AM, he said to himself, I want to make money.

The young man decided to meet the the Guru at 4 AM. He was told to walk out into the ocean. When he was waist deep, the Guru told him to walk until he the water was up to his shoulders. He then held the young man under water until he he was fighting to get to the surface.

When he let him go and he gasped for breath, he asked the young man what he wanted more than anything in that moment. Of course, he replied "to breathe." He told him unless he wants success as much as he wants to breathe, he'll never achieve it. When you want to succeed as much as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful.

I really enjoyed this man's take on success. It really is about setting other things that get in the way of your success aside. I feel like I'm making the necessary steps to achieve success.
