Okay, so I know how to schedule the posts, but has anyone had problems with it not posting the scheduled posts? And how do I fix it?

Hey Erika,

If your blog fails to schedule posts properly for you (mine both did) then using a tried and plugin called Scheduled Post Trigger by Jennifer Moss will do the trick for you.

If you have a post that should have published now, then simply open it in Edit mode, simple click on Update should resolve this.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you! I manually published the one it missed, so we will see if this works with tomorrow’s scheduled post.

To those who have multiple websites, did you wait until your first was successful until creating more. Or did you jump in head first at the start and create several?

I started with a niche I thought was a good one, but got extremely slowed down due to my health, then once recovered COVID-19 struck the nation. I rethought my niche and went with a new idea, a new niche, didn't get far before I changed that niche for another LOL. I had to decide, was it going to be health or beards and I decided to go back to my original niche. As I was working on my original my dropship site open and within one week I sold out of three items, hmmmmmm, another niche idea along the lines of my dropship site LOL. As it turns out my 4th choice is truly my rightful one, I am head over heels in research and loving it, it will tie in with my dropship site perfectly. So I have 1 site I am excited about, 1 site, I am bringing along slowly, 2 sites on the burner, lots of laughs, am a little confused at times but happy, and busy, don't you love WA.

Erika, I jumped ahead since I'm a multi-tasker. That way when I come up with an idea for something, I can immediately post it to the appropriate site. That is not to say any of them are successful right now, with the exception of my collaboration site with another member here who does the lion's share of the work, but it makes me feel like I am moving forward, albeit at a snail's pace.

I'm looking at other answers you might get here!

Hi Erika,

I started one niche site when I began WA. I had another website that I transferred over to WA hosting a couple of months later.

Currently, I'm working on two websites. I'm able to balance it out, but it can be challenging at times. It all depends on your time and effort spent.

I'm sticking to the two websites, spending equal time on them. I know it's a best practice for newbies to focus on one site. Then again, it all depends on each individual's time and effort spent. Some people can work on multiple sites, while others need to focus on one.

I hope that helps- all the best,

-Eric

I think that if you're relatively new, you should only ever focus on one. When that site is doing well - getting ranked, loads of content, more and more visitors and has lots of traction - only then would I start a second.

Spreading yourself too thin will not result in a successful website and that can be discouraging. That is often when people think it doesn't work, and they quit altogether. It does work if you focus.

I have two running currently. The trick is to work on one until its all set and all that is left is regular content and marketing. You can then work on the other while regularly delivering content for the first.
If you can afford it, you can hire a writer.

When I link to my website in a Facebook post or Tweet... it comes up with a certain image. How do I change that image? Does it depend on the theme? I run Neve if that helps any

Thanks for the question Erika, I will be moving the social media and this is nice to know.

Hi Erika, I would be interested in the image that gets displayed. Do they have anything to do with your post, or is it a generic image. Perhaps we can start from there.

Best wishes,
Michael

Are you talking about the large image? If you were to share a Post, it would be the featured image. For your homepage however, you can set this in your SEO Plugin under the Social Settings or if you have a Social Plugin, that sometimes contains the settings, where you can override the image to one of your choosing.

Thank you! I was talking of the large image. Couldn’t for the life of me remember how I set it the first time. Thanks again!
