What It Means to Add Your Own Voice to AI Content and Specifically When and Where To Do It

Here's a key point everyone needs to understand when it comes to creating content with AI.
A prompt tells the AI what to make. Your voice is what you do to what it made.
Read that again.
Those are two completely different stages.
Adding your voice comes after the AI has spit out its product, no matter how meticulously you crafted the prompts.
Now it's also very important to understand the drastically different expectation when it comes to AI imagery and AI written content. With AI imagery there is no expectation that you actually painted that image, or took that amazing impossible photo. Everyone 100% understands you are just the prompter as the AI tool creates the image. So with AI images, being the master prompter is all you have to be.

With your own written content, however, this is not at all the expectation. When you add the "by Eric Cantu" to that article, you have created a very real expectation for your audience that you have written this. So for AI content you need to take the time after the prompting phase to add your voice to what the AI made.

Let's be very clear about this, too 👉🏻Adding a paragraph at the beginning and at the end and changing a few phrases does not count as making it your own. 👈🏻That's like me dotting an I and crossing a T with icing on a cake someone else baked.

If you find yourself having some trouble with adding your voice to AI and making it your own, or you find yourself depending too heavily on AI content, here is a template you can start with to get you better at integrating your own voice.

For articles on your website:

• Completely remove the introduction the AI wrote and write 2-3 paragraphs on your own, 100% written by you to introduce the article
• For every new heading, add an intro completely written by you that leads into the next section of content
• For every bulleted list, add or change the intro into that list and make it your own. After the bulleted list add a summary written completely by you
• Throughout the article, add 2-3 paragraph sections that are100% written by you where you add a story or your own experience highly relevant to the topic. You don't have to fake expertise here, you can absolutely share that you are new to this, but this is so important to both your audience and Google that you have skin in this game that you're writing about.
• Personally, I think it's important to tweak the headlines AI creates and make them your own as well
• Lastly, add a final thoughts section that is completely written by you, 100%

Does this take time? Yes.
That's the point.
You owe your audience that time.

Is it still 1000x quicker than coming up with everything on your own the way we used to have to do things?
Yes.

Stop being a baby.
Do the work.

If you're less than a year inside WA and new to online business, there is no expectation for you to be a trainer. Take the pressure off. Make your WA shares about your progress. Don't attempt to create training when you're just learning. Share what you learned! Be proud of that. Don't lay it out like a syllabus using AI.

When you see other members still pasting AI, don't let it bother you. Just skip it and move on. No likes, no hearts, no comments, no shares. Let it fizzle out into the abyss while you practice the right way.
