In a 15 second YouTube Short, you don't even have 5 seconds to grab your audience's attention, you have around 3.

And forget trying to give any kind of "how-to" in the time you have left. It's all about an aggressive hook, showing the finished result FIRST, and then teasing the secret ingredient that got you there.

Now why am I focusing on the 15 second version of YouTube shorts and not the 60 second version? If you give a minute long how-to in a format like YouTube Shorts your audience will basically listen, then continue on with their scroll.

But if you give an energy packed 15 second teaser to a full video walkthrough on your channel, now you've grabbed not only their attention, but you've brought them over to your real estate.

Here's a couple ways to use this 15 second result first hook strategy with other niches:

Weight Loss Niche
After photo: "I lost 5lbs this week without a treadmill!"

"Click the related video link for the full meal plan!"

Travel Niche
