How to Use Expand On Click Feature For All Your Images

It's time for your daily dose of Wordpress Wisdom! In today's quick tutorial I'll be showing you how the Expand on Click feature (previously only available in the Gallery block) is now available on ALL image blocks! It's super easy to use once you know where it's at! Let me show you this feature in action so you can start using it as needed for your website content!

Thanks for this Eric! I wasn't aware of that linking option for images. I played around with it, and it appears if I want to have an actual "Lightbox" effect, where you can click through the entire image gallery (with back/forward arrows on each pic), it requires a plug-in. I'm using one called "Simple Lightbox" which seems to work great. But it only works if you use the "Link to image file" option, versus "Expand on click." For individual images in a post, I love the "Expand on click" option. But for image galleries, I like to be able to click through the pictures or have it play like a slideshow, which the plugin provides.

Yes this isn't for a slideshow, this is for expanding single images. I may do a slideshow Wordpress wisdom in the future 👍🏼
