Cheers, Eric, this is very interesting. My website has over 90 blog posts, and they all reside under about 6 menus on the header. Of course, the lists are now getting very long, and I guess not much use to a visitor.
I am assuming this strategy would help me to organise them into "menus" and "sub menus" to make it more targetted and easier to follow?
One thing for my clarification. Are "categories" what I am calling "menus," and are "Tags" what I'm calling "sub menus?"
Many thanks. I always find great value in your videos.
Cheers.
The absolute last thing you want is to place every article you've published into a menu. There's no way for your audience to find what they're looking for and each menu just becomes a cluttered mess.
That's not to mention the unnecessary work you have to do after you publish each post to change the menu...
If you don't have categories set for your content it's time to start. 👍🏼
Categories are used to organize your content by broad topics. Each post should be assigned to a category (sometimes two if necessary). Think of them as the main topics your website covers.
Instead of placing every single article into a menu, all you need to do is place the main categories of content in your menu and then clicking on a category takes your audience to all the articles on that topic. 💯

Eric, this may be one of your best training videos! We are such nerds thinking that ChatGPT (or an AI) is beautiful. I saw your face, watching in amazement as it created the pawn chain content cluster ideas. I felt the same!
I did not know how to extract info from your sitemap. This is so cool for those of us who have just winged it cuz most of my articles aren't done in WA, so I have to figure that stuff out. You have saved me so much anguish, lol.
Teri
Glad you’re enjoying the series!
