Hard Work is the Key To Success, My First Referral!

Today has been a really good day for me.

First and foremost, my cousin Mark and his wife Luisa just brought their first baby into the world, Mark Ethan. My little cousin who I used to play with constantly when I was 10 and he was 4 is now a proud father. I couldn't be happier.

Second, I got this in my email today.

There's nothing better than seeing your hard work rewarded. This is the email you get when someone clicks one of your affiliate links and joins WA. We go through the training, we write content, and we create our links. And then to know that someone I've never met read one of my articles and was driven to take such an incredible step towards their own success is humbling.

Without WA I'd have never been able to accomplish something like that. The training is really coming together, and the more I look at my site the more I think "Wow. I built this."

There's so much more to go too. And that gets me excited. It's been 6 weeks and 2 days since I started my Wealthy Affiliate journey, and looking ahead I can't even imagine where I'll be at the 6 month mark.

Some people taste success within two weeks of joining, and for some it takes 6 months, but the key is not giving up. Building a strong foundation is so important.

Think about athletes who put in YEARS of training before they are well known. Think of olympians who have trained since before they could read who finally taste success as an adult.

And yet we get frustrated if we're not making money in just one month.

• Build that foundation. It takes time for any website to mature and thrive. It doesn't come overnight. We all know this yet we allow ourselves to think otherwise. Stay the course, complete the lessons, and you'll reap the rewards in time.
• Be patient! If it was just a matter of writing for a few weeks everyone we know would have a website at the front page of Google searches. Very few build their sites correctly from the start. Because of this we have a leg up on the competition. Don't let impatience throw away such a huge advantage!
• It takes work! Don't stop! It's a marathon and not a sprint. All the steps you take by following the training add up to you getting to your goal! How bad would it be to go 99 yards and then stop just one yard short of your goal? Push forward!

I couldn't be happier with my time at Wealthy Affiliate. I've made friends in the community, I've found people who have mentored me, and I've found leaders to follow. What more could you ask for?

I want to thank everyone, from Kyle and Carson for putting this all together, to each and every one of my followers who inspire me each day, to all those in the WA community who have helped me without asking for anything in return.

Thanks again to everyone here working hard to continue their success. Remember to build that foundation, be patient, and put in the hard work. I had a good day today and just taking a first step toward my goal has renewed my drive more than ever.

I can't wait to see what's next.
