Even a New Site Doesn't Have to Be a Ghost Town - 3 Easy Actionable Steps

No one likes their website looking "blah". Way too often new members get obsessed with aesthetics as opposed to focusing on content. So how can we make our website look established even if it's brand new?
When a visitor lands on a site with a default header and a non-existent "About Me" page, they don't think "authority", they think "newbie". It's "Just another WordPress site" that they're ready to bounce from.
Even if yours is brand new, don't feel like you need to wait for permission to look the part. All you have to do is touch up a couple key areas and you're good to go.

First, put a real face to the name of your website. Get over the "I don't want to show my face" routine. If you want to stay in the witness protection program then maybe the global interface of affiliate marketing isn't for you. No one's gonna steal your face. Just get over that.
Next, spend the twenty minutes it takes to make your header your own. Use Logo Designer to create that clean logo and give your site a branded color scheme. it doesn't take much time at all and it'll instantly make the site feel like your own. Start with colors you like that are easy on the eyes. K.I.S.S. principle applies here.
Last (and this is one is really a placebo effect just for you), if you don't want to launch with one post, then publish 3-5 articles all together at once so that when someone clicks the Home button they see that there's stuff to click on. I say this is "placebo" because you're not going to get actual traffic with just one or two articles. That starts arriving once you have several published articles under your belt anyway. This is just to make you feel better about your empty blogroll. 💯
So stop hiding. Turn the lights on and show them someone is home.
