Finding the right domain is like finding a puzzle piece
In the last few weeks, I've spent hours searching for good domain names. A good domain name is only a small step on the way to success - but one of the first decisions and you do not want to make a mistake here! No way!
Domain search is a heavy jobI have tried and tested a lot of tools, providers and websites - and wasted a lot of time. Some
sites only list free domain names, others offer backorder services for expired domains (that are pending delete and will be released shortly) and other sites offer existing domains for sale or auction. I did not count the pages, but it could have been between 20-25 or more, I visited and watched over weeks! I thought there must be something better and went on the search on the Internet!
What I was looking for was a kind of domain name search engine that integrates all providers and websites offering free, for sale or pending delete domain names. It was also important for me to get automatic alerts for certain search terms or phrases. It took some time to get through the lists of the usual providers and hosters, until I found this fantastic site:

Domain Name Search Engine ExpiredDomains.net
(It´s a free tool and no, I am not an affiliate there!)
ExpiredDomains(dot)net Domain Search Engine is the most powerful and complete service for expired, dropped or registered domains I have ever seen. There are hundreds of reasons, maybe the most important are:
- Lists expired Domains, pending delete and free to register or backorder for 390 TLDs!
- Lists dropped Domains, now free for registration, with all relevant data (Seo, Backlinks, Age, Archive.org, and much more) also for 390 TLDs
- Lists available Domains of the leading markets (Sedo, Flippa, GoDaddy, Dynadot, Huntingmoon, Namesilo, Namepal, Namejet and more...)
- While I wrote this post 289,149,899 domains (!!!) were monitored by ExpiredDomains(dot)net
- There are thousands of filters options, to customize your search by phrase, name, Age and more than a hundred of relevant factors
- There is a watch list for domains you want to observe or remember
- Every search can be turned into a Saved Search, alerting you if new domain names are available
- I am sure I did not explore all the functionalities, but hope to have mentioned just the best here
And where is the hook now? OK, you have to register once with your email-adress for full functionality. But what can I say, this service is absolutely free! You can test the site without registration, but with limited search results only.
I use this tool every day, and you?It took me some time to discover and use all the possibilities ExpiredDomains(dot)net offers. But this tool has become my daily companion. I get an daily update on my domain searches by email and I check every day if there is a new domain name free or available for me. Whenever I have new domain ideas or projects, I use this tool.
If you are in the process of domain search, once or permanently, I recommend to use it. It is very complex, but it provides so many benefits and added value, that a short training is worthwhile...
I am looking forward to your questions, experiences and suggestions!
Please give me feedback, too, if I formulated something wrong.
Have a nice day and much fun trying it out!
Andre
