It has been less than 1 week and I have a great feeling of accomplishment. I am amazed by what has been presented here at Wealthy Affiliate and how well everything works in this community.

My Expectations

There are many Affiliate Marketing platforms plugging the best way to make money online. And as someone that prides themselves on being in tune with the latest online technologies, I am always testing stuff and playing with applications and platforms.

I did not expect much when I registered for a Starter Account 5 days ago. But I thought, "It is only a few hours of watching training videos as an investment. Let's see what is on offer and go from there."

My Experiences

My career is running a Bangkok web development agency. I have been developing WordPress websites and plugins for many years now. As I began the training, I was immediately pleased with the fact that the WA platform is built on WordPress, one of the most popular CMS platforms used on the Internet today.

But as there is much more to running a successful online business than just the application it runs on, I wanted to see what else was on offer. After getting to the decision-making process on going Premium, I decided to go ahead and make the small $19 investment to continue my exercise. I was happy with what I had seen so far. None of what was covered was smoke and mirrors. It was all factual and presented in a clear and simple manner.

Again, I was very pleased with the benefits of the WA platform. Here are the features that impressed me the most.

• An active community of people to share and engage with
  
• An active community to engage with your website's content and social profiles
  
• An easy to follow, step-by-step guide to getting people familiar with building and managing their own websites.
  

As someone that offers these sorts of services, and manages these areas for clients, I can state that this is a really big deal.

User engagement is the single most difficult task towards getting your website to a status of "Successful".

The WA engagement is solicited, in a minor sense. But this works well as a primer for non-WA visitors to engage with my content.

From my standpoint, much of the training is very much a repeat of stuff I already knew. But, training people to be comfortable enough with a platform to begin an online business is challenging. This has been another roadblock for our agency after a project has been delivered.

I think WA has hit on a very successful way to get people trained up and operating in a short period of time. And, whenever someone gets stuck, there are options for how they can shout out for immediate assistance.

My Advice

Don't get worried about the details of finding a niche, or getting nice pictures in the initial stages.

Stay focused on the process.

Many times during the past few days I have thought, "Maybe I should find a different niche?" or "I don't like this theme."

Don't sweat this stuff. Keep on it. Create good content. Keep going with the process of building your website.

With the way the training is structured, everything will fall into place and you will say to yourself, "Ah yes, I get this now!"

Stay the course.

I also see so many people asking about why the training stops and they need to buy premium to continue. Beleive me, when you compare WA with what you would need to pay to learn this in a different way, the investment is minimal.

WA is by far the most cost-effective platform for learning how to build an online business that I have come across so far.

Don't worry, don't stress. Relax and dig in for a few days. What you learn will change the way you thought of the Internet and running an online business.

My Plans for Moving Forward

Trying out this platform was by far one of the most productive tasks I have undertaken in years. I look forward to finding the tidbits of knowledge I do not yet possess to make my websites "Successful".

In fact, I already have 2 or 3 other ideas for Affiliate websites I want to start with immediately. But I am forcing myself to wait and keep things as simple as I can for now until I consume more of the training.

I am looking forward to continuing my involvement in this community.
