How do I set a profile picture on my website?
the best way to do it is as follows
Upload you image to a page of your choice then go to the text view of that page and copy the code
Go to you widgets section and select a text widget to go in your side bar
Copy and paste the code into the text widget then save the changes
You pic will no appear on the side bar of your site on all you pages or posts
You can then add some text underneath he image if you want

There is a add image button on your tool bar when you are in the edit mode just put the courser in the box where you want your photo change from text to visual and then click add image it will take you to your hard drive...pick your pic and hit upload
Alan will this work for your website picture? You know where it says admin I want to put a picture there. There was a lesson that I went through with Kyle on how to do all that and I did but my picture still didn't show and now I can't remember the lesson.
I added mine in my About page using the Add Media tab top left side, then you just choose upload from your computer and then add to you media library and then insert into page. Make sure you have your cursor where you want the photo on the page before going to add media. Good luck.

I have a question about pictures on your about me page on my website. I'm pretty shy and private and don't want my picture on the internet, what else would you recommend for "trust"?
Rather than doing an About Me do an About Us and write about your website. This will take the eyes off of you and more into the content of your page. Hope this helps.
