Powering Through and Creating Attainable Goals
So I haven't made as much progress as I'd hoped. I am here and I have committed to doing something every day to better my site, and I have found that a much more reasonable expectation.
When I first started, I had committed to finishing a lesson a day- ha! I don't know about you, but I find it difficult to be able to do that for all the lessons. Oh sure, there are some lessons - like setting up your email - that take all of five minutes and you can be done with quickly, but some of them... Well, quality matters and sometimes you have to factor in research when writing (at least with my niche - I am sure it is the same with many of you).
A funny thing about goals, although we all like the idea of moving forward, and despite the fact that we all like to think of ourselves as people with ambitions, too often we set goals that weren't realistic to begin with and then fail. Not because the goal wasn't completely attainable, but because sometimes...we refuse to recognize smaller victories as being just as worthy as bigger ones.
I am still here. I am riddled with worries that I am not really going to be successful with this, that no one is going to be interested in my thoughts about my niche, that I am not going to be able to get affiliates... but my goal right now shouldn't be to make money. My goal shouldn't be to finish a lesson every day.
The best goal you can make for yourself - in any situation - is to bring the best of yourself.

To be successful in life requires hard work and dedication Elizabeth. Nothing in life comes easy. Sometimes when I find myself in a difficult situation, I always try to remain calm and think about the positive. Don't let this get you down. Just remember to always think positive, have a clear mind and focus on what you would like to achieve. To be honest, I haven't made that much progress myself but do remember that there is a wonderful and engaging community at Wealthy Affiliate who would be there to support, help and encourage you along the way. Don't give up! Be positive! :)
