Best Days
Paring down one of the best days ever I have experienced is a difficult task. I feel fortunate that I have had many “best” days and sometimes the “best” days are not that eventful but are more about the feelings of joy I experienced that day. Small things often bring great enjoyment.
Some Examples Of Great Joy Are:

*talking to any of my kids on the phone
*getting pictures of my grandson, Vance, texted to me
*hearing that one of my kids has gotten a new job, maybe one that they have really wanted
*having a great cup of coffee in the morning while I wake up
*watching the hummingbirds come to the bird feeder
*seeing wildlife unexpectedly
*eating a fantastic meal; especially one that I didn’t cook
*spending time with good friends
*taking a nice hot shower and feeling so clean and alive
*being a friend to someone in need
*getting a good report at the dentist
And There is More
*going on a nature walk and admiring the miracles of nature
*letting the sun shine down onto my face and soaking in the warmth and energy of it penetrating my whole body
*doing something nice for someone without them knowing it, for example; paying for someone’s coffee behind me in line at Starbucks
*knowing that my mom is peacefully resting during the final stages of her life
*having a really good talk with an old friend and feeling so loved and cared about
*knowing that my kids are happy and are enjoying their lives
*having the best husband I could ask for; one that always loves me, thinks of me, cares for me, and is my best friend for life
Joyful Moments
If I can feel any of these joyful moments, I consider the day one of the best days ever. I am a lucky lady to have such goodness in my life and I am forever grateful for the things that I sometimes take for granted. When I stop to think about these treasured moments, I am filled with gratitude for the life that I get to live.
