How a Bad Day at Work Quietly Helped Me Build an Online Business

I didn’t plan on making progress on my online business that day.

I have been really struggling at work lately. I took a long overseas holiday this year and anyone who has done that knows that unless you are going to lay on a beach somewhere it is not really going to recharge your batteries.

My stubborness gets me through a lot of things that sometimes it shouldn't, but that day I hit a wall.

So for the first time in my three years at the company, I left early.

The words and look I got shocked me.

I smiled. I nodded. I stayed professional.

What did I do next?

I went home, had a long sleep and then worked on my online business instead.

That one frustrating moment turned into:

• Four drafted blog posts ready for my voice
• All of my published posts updated to hopefully improve SEO.
• Updates to my Wealthy Affiliate Review.
• A few plans for the future.

No dramatic resignation speech. (Tempting)
No overnight success fantasy. (Doesn't happen that way)
Just steady progress after hours.

This is how most successful online businesses are actually built.
