Computer Is Quitting.
When is it time for a new computer. My computer is so slow, I think it wants to quit on me. I know this because, it shuts down in the middle of my articles, my programs take ages to load, and it shuts off completely sometimes. Should I buy a new one or should I give it some more time?
A computer should last for five or six years or sometimes even seven or eight years but this one is not that old and it is giving a hard time. Although it is windows 7 (desktop) it should be still viable as many people are still using it.
If I have to buy a computer now, I will have to make choices on what kind of computer I would want. This is going to take up a lot of my time from doing my training, but again, I would benefit more from having a new one in the long run.
To make life easier with less frustration.
To make life easier for me, I am going to have this one cleaned up and have the programs reinstalled to make it much better for the computer speed. In this way I would have everything done properly in a shorter time and will avoid the frustration of not getting my work done.
Sometimes buying a new computer takes time especially if you can't decide on what you want to use. You coud spend a whole day looking for one and cannot make up your mind. That is why I will only focus on repairing this one now to save some time. I hope that it will work properly so that I can do my work with less stress.
I know that I will be behind with SWAG training, but I am not giving up. I am pushing forward and I know I will make the grade.

I finally ending up buying the cheapest computer available last month! I had been using my daughters computer for over 10 hours a day and was experiencing similar problems that you mentioned! I was able to find a payment plan. Good luck !
Joshua asks some great questions. If you haven't already done so:
First, make sure your files are backed up and that you back up regularly. And, that your hard drive has available space.
Second, make sure your Windows operating system is up-to-date.
Third, run the MS Disk Cleanup tool. You can find it in Windows Administrative Tools. You may also want to run the Disk Defragment and Optimize Drives tool also in Windows Administrative Tools.
Fourth, run some disk analysis and disk cleanup scripts. Two free ones are Glary Utilities and Malware Hunter.
Fifth, run some virus detection software MalwareBytes, Malware Hunter, and AdAware are all free.
This may not solve the problem but it's a start on the checklist used with undefined problems. You should not need to have programs "reinstalled."
Hope this helps.

WOW! This is great. I think I will have to get these done by someone with more experience but for now I will start with the malware and see what happens.
Thank you a lot for your advice. I really appreciate this very much.
Have a great day.
Make sure all important documents or info is copied before it quitsHow old is the computer? My last PC quit after 10 years and we ignored the warning signs.
Hello, Elores.
First, know that many people would LOVE to have your "problem." Why? Because you are the (soon to be) proud owner of a Windows 7 machine.
Windows 7 is one of Microsoft's best and most stable operating systems, including Windows 10. I have two Win10 systems (my wife and I), but that is ONLY because my Win7 machines were stolen during a burglary.
Ok, first, the BAD news: Your problems are probably the result of malware and other junk that's accumulated in your machine over time.
Now, for the UGLY news: All of that junk (if that's the case) wreaks havoc on your system, causing crashes, slowdowns, system shutting itself off, failing to update properly, and other problems.
And, finally, the Good news (see what I did there...the GOOD, the BAD, and the UGLY): A lot of that is correctable! Cleaning out all that malware and getting rid of unneeded programs, toolbars, and utilities will help speed things up.
Some questions:
Are you running any security software (AntiVirus of some sort)?
Are you running an anti-spyware program?
How often do you run Windows update?
Do you have more than one anti-virus?
Do you have any "cleanup" programs installed?
Can you run a program called "Belarc Advisor?"
If you can answer these questions, that will help determine the actual issues you may have.
Let me know. We don't want anything to get in the way of your WA business.
Joshua
You have given me a lot to look into to rectify this problem. I can only do the simple things but I will ask a Pro to do the rest for me.
Thank you very much and have a great day.
Hey Elores
Did you read my story about Daisy? TIME TO GET NAKED - Nudity REVIEW - Stripped down - She Will Not Thank Me! Product Reviews Windows 7 is excellent, I am using windows 10 but I like 7. Keep running your own machine if you can?
CAUTION
If you let someone loose on your machine to do upgrades - MAKE SURE YOU DO ALL YOUR BACKUPS TO EXTERNAL DRIVES.
In my experience, you always loose something.
Good luck!

When you use it constantly like I do this wears them faster, at least I have found.
