Tricks With Gmail Accounts
Hi everyone,
You may be aware of this already but it's certainly something that helped me open numerous Twitter Accounts some time ago.
Gmail basically lets you customise your current gmail address (to a point) but still sends the mail to your original email box. Let me explain if you had JohnJones@gmail.com You could sign up to Twitter (I use Twitter as an example) with JohnJones+2@gmail.com, JohnJones+3@gmail.com & so on... And every one will STILL land your JohnJones@gmail.com inbox.
Gmail also ignores all dots in any address. So if you had John.Jones@gmail it would still get delivered to JohnJones
I used +2, +3 etc.. as explained above just to make it simple for me to keep a record of each Twitter account log ins but you can actually + anything you want to personalise your gmail account.
As an example:
myrealegmail+mynewtwittername@gmail.com
SOME sites don't allow the "+" in email addresses I believe but you can always use the dot one for those.
This just saves you having to have loads of email addresses. Plus you can set up separate folders from within your gmail account dashboard to catergorise each different address.
