Little did I know, about the behinds of diabetes.
Today I would like to active and install some knowledge that to some people seem not important, but crucial to keep you aware of. Diabetes! ! ! !
What is diabetes mellitus?
It is characterized by a deficiency or lack of insulin.
This lacking of insulin, which is also related to severe disturbances in carbohydrates, disorder in protein and fat metabolism.
Insulin is a friend of glucose and glycogen. So, the movement of glucose into our body parts decreases.
Consequently, the formation of glycogen decreases, leading to blood sugar rise in concentration. When blood sugar reaches a certain high concentration, the kidneys begin to excrete excess.
This is explained by frequently going to a small room (going to the toilets for a peeping) of people with diabetes mellitus.
Then, you will find the glucose appears in the urine when you go for a urination or peeping.
The presence of sugar in the blood, raises the urine pressure. More water and other useful electrolytes are thus excreted more than usual.
The affected person become excessively dehydrated and experience great thirst (polydipsia).
The name of this condition is derived from "diabetes", referring to the increased output of urine. While " mellitus" referred to honey in Latin.
Does diabetes mellitus restricted to certain age?
No, any one at any age can suffer from this condition. Some children get born with it as a genetic factor. Some people acquire it through the life style, strefull issues, and other issues.
Can we treat diabetes mellitus?
No, we can only monitor it by good healthy eating, drinking alot of liquid, take insulin as a monitoring prescription.
Control your diet, participate in an exercise program, avoiding substances that stimulate insulin secretion, and maintain body weight.
Take easy, enjoy life as usually, no one is dying. Knowledge is health, health is educating yourself and knowing your body.

Hi Elliot!
Thank you so much for bringing this topic up to light. People don’t understand how crucial and damaging diabetes is.
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 6. I wasn’t well taken care of when I was a child and growing up my diabetes escalated to diabetic retinopathy, heart conditions, intestine issues and CKD on stage 2. It’s been hard, really hard, but luckily my doctor suggested starting on an insulin pump. I have been with it for about 3 months and it has helped me improve my health so much. My endocrinologist was so happy with my lab tests last month!
Wow, Steeph. I'm happy that I gave some light with this topic. People real have no much understanding, that why we are here to talk about our experience and so forth.
I'm sorry for your upbringing but happy that you are in control of your condition. Trust me, we are many with so diverse health conditions. We just need to bring up awareness until our people understand.
Keep your result condition at a happy level.
Education is real a key.

The statistics lf people with diabetes are truly alarming! No one is talking about it. A lot of people can’t afford insulin and they’re dying, but sadly no one is doing anything about it

Hi Elliot,
Thank you for the information on diabetes.
I too have been diabetic for the past 14 years. It is controlled by medication and diet. I am not in insulin yet. Hopefully not.

Hi. Annhariz. I'm so excited that I can offer some light on this condition. It is not bad at all, once you are diagnosed with it, stick to your dietary and treatment.
Education is real a key, we teach one another, enlightenment to others.
