Transferring content from one site to another?

It depends on whether you want to copy lots of stuff exactly or just do a few pages simply.
Cutting & pasting the text is easy. Or look at the built in export tool that WordPress has. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
Downside is that you will have duplicate content, so need to get any pages already indexed by Google on the original site de-indexed.
But you should also do 301 redirects to point the original URL to the new one. ( In case anyone comes across a link to the old site)
Well I can just copy and paste stuff thats easy I know how to do that...
But then how will I de-index my other stuff so I dont have duplicate content?
If you've submitted a sitemap to Google Webmaster tools then you have to request that the pages / posts that are already indexed are removed.
See: http://www.bloggeristan.com/2014/02/how-deindex-website-google-search.html for someone in a similar situation de-indexing a new site and how they went about it.

How do I go about getting affiliate links for Namecheap.com and CJ.com
TIA
Hi Liz,
Once you sign up for their affiliate program all of your tools, marketing materials, and affiliate links will be in your back office. I'm not a member of either of these but look for something called affiliate program or something like that.
Sorry I couldn't be much help here.
Scott
Did you already set up an affiliate account with them and get accepted? Then you would get an affiliate code to use and instructions from them to connect. As far as CJ, you would have an account to get in there and then apply to each company you want and wait for acceptance and an email from them with your affiliate code and instructions.
Hi. When you log into your namecheap account click on the Menu Tab (top right) and then scroll down it and click on Affiliates and you're taken to the Affiliatres page. You can apply from there.
Same process for CJ really. Top Right - Click on Advertiser Application and take it from there.
Hope this helps.
Robert

I need someone who knows what they are on about to guide me through moving my current website to my new domain (that I just purchased)
My current website is www.moneyabundan
As far as I understand it you won't be able to do this without Google seeing it as duplicate content. If your site has already been "crawled" under your old domain, putting that content on a new domain would be duplicated.
I know, it's not easy when you find a better domain name. You could set up your new site a rewrite the content you've already done. You have the information there so can still use it, just write it differently. :)

Am I aloud to print screen pictures of google images and use them?
Robert did a fantastic blog and images from Google.
How to Use Google Images for your Website Safely
Hi Elizabeth!
I can not recommend that to you. Although there is the chance to look for images on google with specific usage rights:
o) Go to http://google.com
o) type in e.g. "people"
o) click "images"
o) hit "Search Tools"
o) hit "More Tools"
o) select "Labeled for reuse"
What I definitely recommend is using picture from sources like http://www.pixabay.com or http://www.morguefile.com or http://www.unsplash.com. Usually you will find what you have been looking for...
Cheers, Kay
