Managing Time to Achieve Goals

I have often heard the adage, "Slow and Steady Wins the Race". And spending too many long and frantic hours in the wrong way will definitely NOT do it.

For several years I have been struggling with this problem: Creating original artwork; fulfilling client projects; trying to learn how to bring traffic to my websites and writing articles for my blog .... all at the same time. Not enough hours in the day to do all of this.

I have decided to give myself a break, stop everything for awhile and LEARN how to tap into cyberspace through WA. Not only will I ease my finances, but I will learn the nuts and bolts of getting traffic to my existing websites as well as to the WA websites that I am going to be setting up very soon.

After things are rolling along, I think I will have time once again to create new artwork, write some e-books (perhaps to offer free to fellow members who need giveaways) and handle clients.

I definitely had the cart before the horse!

It is hard to stay focused on one aspect of buidling your business when you get niggling thoughts that you should be dealing with other things.
Believe me Elinor...you're not the only one who struggles with this...much success to you....:0)

Thanks, Kevin.

Still struggling along here! Can't seem to get past reading all the information-packed member blogs when I DO get those niggling thoughts that I should be building my website.

But, the way I figure, I don't want to just slap up a website without lots of practical knowledge under my belt. I want it to be set up properly from Day number 1. Refining and adding things will be necessary always, but correcting mistakes and redesigning etc. ... that I will leave to those who RUSH to publish.

Your blogs are among those I am saving, BTW!

Cheers!

Thanks Elinor....I have an attention problem in that I can sometimes allow myself to get distracted easily....especially if I am working on something that I don't enjoy.....but I am aware of the problem and try to work through the distractions....:0)

Incidentally - the two next videos from Jeff Goins are now on-line in case you haven't had an update from him (I didn't get one...)

The second one about deciding what blogging personality you have is particularly interesting....

I wouldn't leave it too long to get your site up and running though....none of our blogs are perfect from the off and I think that actually working on them can bring new ideas that you may not get from the training....

You could be right about that, too! I will be getting a move on. And I will check out the latest from Jeff Goins, also. But, see, there I go delving into more information! I also love the chitchat back and forth. More self discipline is in order, as you say! :)

I believe many of us have done this. It is good to take a break and breathe.

I agree! Wish you the best of luck!

Thank you! And the same to you!!

Good for you, if that's what it takes, then go for it

Slow and steady does win the race.
All the best to you!

Thanks, Val!
