WordPress vs Blogger

At some point I would like to do a comprehensive review comparing WordPress and Blogger. However, I have not been able to find the time for such a review. So, to compensate for my ignorance, I am asking the community to enlighten me. Have you used both WordPress and Blogger? If so, what has been your experience with the two services? Do you have a preference for one over the other?

Any information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank you for the question, and thank all of you for the answers!!

I think blogger is a much more limited platform. You own it nor in the same way as you own your wp page

I will look forward to more content information as well.

I have used blooper for years, it is very limiting but it is free. I guess I can't complain about a 'freebie!'.

I am just starting to blog which may help someone including myself.

I BEGAN on Blogger. It's a quick, fairly intuitive interface. And, now that Google owns it, carries some powerful DA. BUTTTTT...... as far as flexibility, it totally sucks. Pardon my verbiage. WP simply offers way more in terms of plug-ins, templates and expansion. In my opinion, it's a no-brainer.

I have used Blogger for quite a number of blogs over the years and NOT WordPress! There was something that just wasn't 'right' about blogger and, of course, it is a goggle property and does not follow my political bent.

Just the little time that I have been using WP{ (only since joining WA), It feels a lot better. I know that does not really help anybody, but, both are free, but the blogger account can be removed at any time for any reason..

Why do you prefer WordPress? Have you ever used Blogger?

1

yes, but I still like WordPress

I prefer wordpress anyday anytime. Wordpress for one has a lot of seotools you can use to customize your website. More so you have control over your hosting. There are a bunch of reasons i will always prefer wordpress, but if one is on a budget then blogger it will be.

Thanks.
