My First Blog
Well, this is my first blog & needless to say, I really don't know what I'm doing. I do have some questions about blogging.
I think one question has already been answered just by reading the blog rules for WA blogging. I wasn't sure about the difference between blogging on my website (which I haven't done yet) and blogging here at WA. After reading the rules, I see that I can ask questions and just talk about topics here at WA.
My second question: I have a domain name called "AroundMyVeggieGarden.com. Would I use that as the the url for the website and add pages to the website or do I have to buy a domain name with keywords in it?

Great to get your first blog post achieved. I would use your domain name as it offers a lot of scope on topics to write about or your can use a domain name with keywords but at the end of the day it comes down to writing high quality content.

It took me about a month or so, to understand that I can embrace my style of writing; I'm not an analytical thinker, so I don't have to pretend to be one; there's a lot about affiliate marketing that I don't know - actually, all that I DO know, came from WA - so I don't have to force myself to be the "trainer". With thousands upon thousands of people int his community, there's bound to be at least ONE person, who wants to read my post, lol. Your style will find you in time.

I know, it's a bit strange to "get real" with people with whom you can't see or even hear their voice! I still get a bit nervous before posting sometimes, but I believe that if you write from the heart - whether it's a funny , informative, or heartfelt post - you will be received with open arms.

I was so unsure about "blogging". I didn't know what, where, when or how to blog. lol... So when I finally figured out where to go on WA to post something, I just did it & then the funny part is...is that I didn't know where to find the comments. I didn't think anyone commented! It took me a day to find where the comments were. (I'm really not stupid, just new!) :) So, I'm laughing at myself!!
Well, here's one that will make you chuckkle: After creating my first blog, I saw the comment below about adding a tag. I'm thinking, "What's a tag?". Even in my post, I asked that question, not to be funny, but simply because I didn't know. I think it was later that day, when a friend told me tag is the same as hashtag.
So Eve, you truly are not alone.

Yes, aroundmyveggiegarden.com is the URL for your website. You have lots of potential with that name! You can add pages and /or posts using keywords related to gardens, veggies and veggie gardens, plus all kinds of synonyms. Possibilities are endless!!!
Thank you so much for the advice. I used that some time ago on FB & got some comments but then I didn't know how to monetize what I was doing or maybe it was because I didn't have anyone to guide me so I dropped it. Seems like I could pick up where I left off on FB???

Congratulations for your first blog post! To answer your question. In my opinion you have already your keywords in the domain name. myveggiegarden, or veggiegarden sounds very much like a good keyword. Check it out with the keyword tool, but anyway, it sounds like a good domain name where you know what you get.
