Hi my name is Ed Fredericks. I live in N. J. I am a construction electrician for over forty years. During that time I earned my state licenses as a journeyman, electrical contractor and electrical inspector. I have founded an electrical contracting business and ran it for thirteen years. My problem is construction never came back to the east coast after the recession. I was forced to leave my family and friends and now work in California to support my family. It's been eight months now and I miss them dearly. I like what this program has to offer. Working from home, Making a good living. I am a little older now and realize that construction is a young man's game. So after being scammed by another program, I feel I am in the right place now. I am a fast learner. I am all in! If you have any tips for a beginner I sure would appreciate them. I enjoy camping and fishing with my family. I have a new grandson I look forward in teaching him a lot of things. Even the knowledge i will learn here. . .

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hi Lev
Thanks. I just joined to become a premium member. I am serious about this venture. You are right though. I am stuck, big time on a niche. its been about nine hours now and I am stumped. I have listened to the videos from Kyle. checked out the premium help videos. I researched google and i am still stuck. I have been a construction electrician for over forty years. I did everything from wiring houses to nuclear power plants. I was foreman for one hundred man crews. I had a electrical business for 14 years. Earned an electrical contractor license, electrical inspector license, a construction code official and sub code licenses.I was project manager and estimator for large company's. I thought of electrical tools as a niche. There are way too many tools. I don't think my targeted audience would buy it on line. With thousands of tools to chose from what to pick? I thought about electrical instructional books or code books that continually come out every three years. I am not sure. Not to mention that maybe this is a micro niche with a lot of competition.
On one of the videos it suggested to do something I have an interest in. I like the out doors and go camping with the family in my rv. I especially like to go fishing with my daughter and grandson. I am a private pilot and thought of making pilot products my niche but every pilot seems to shop on two on line sites or at the local airport. Still to many products to choose from .
I like the thought of a home business. I think to many people are unhappy in there jobs or not getting financial satisfaction or just need a change. Maybe with this economy people don' t have a job at all.I thought about promoting wa as my niche. In which case I need to change to the boot camp training. From what I have seen choosing a niche seems to be the hardest task. I know I will probably choose many more in the future but right now its tough.
I know from the instructional videos that i need to narrow the subject down. Could you PLEASE make some suggestions to help me get un stuck.
Thanks a lot
Ed

Hey Ed. I think the decision will ultimately come after you have done some keyword research regarding these said topics. Also, it will depend on the affiliate programs available for your desired niche. For example, in my opinion I also think it will be difficult to find an audience and affiliate program that you can promote regarding the electrical tools niche. Like I said when you are researching the keywords you will see its potential or lack thereof.

I think going through the full starter course and thinking about the outdoor niche is a better option. However, fishing and camping is too broad. You need to find a niche within that niche...such as bass fishing or camping cookware...you get the idea, you must narrow it down a bit to be more focused and target a not so competitive niche. Again, during keyword research you will find this out.

Pilot products could work. See if those two sites you mention have an affiliate program so that you could prmote their products by giving reviews.

You always have the option of promoting WA, although this is more advanced due to the competition. I recommend going to the Affiliate Bootcamp only after you've finished the other courses. I hope this helps and I look forward to see what you decide on. Take care Ed.

Hi Kyle
I did join to premium today. I am very serious about doing this right and being successful.I did listen to a lot of videos regarding selecting a niche today. This seems to be a stumbling block for me. I have several hobbies and considered to be an expert in my occupational field. selecting a niche is hard.
Thanks for checking up

Congrats on going Premium Edward, I know you are absolutely going to love it. In the coming days, weeks and months ahead you are really going to see your business start taking shape. I can't wait to see it unfold.

You have everything you need here at WA now, take action, work hard, stay persistent and ask for help if you ever feel even remotely stuck. Lots of help here!

A niche can honestly be anything, what are you passionate about? What are you interested in?

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)
