Dec 2015 Goals

Time for some goal setting! I should've posted this blog since beginning of Dec but I didn't get around to do it. Since I last made my progress update on 7 Dec 2015, I guess I'll just set my goals from now to the next progress report (3 weeks from now).

In my next progress update on 7 Jan 2016, I'll include the stats from Google search console and Google analytics, along with setting a new goal for the month.

These goals will be centered around the "action goals", which are specific goals I want to achieve to keep myself accountable, and as a reminder.

Goals for Dec 2015:

• Reach 110 posts (last update = 85 posts)
• At least 300 daily visitors to site
• 10,000 monthly visitors (last update = 627 monthly visitors)
• Improve average ranking to 25.0 (last update = 39.9)

Some of these goals seem steep, especially the goal of achieving 10,000 monthly visitors (last month I only had 627 monthly visitors).

There are 2 ways to achieve these goals:

1. Produce helpful contents and add posts consistently
2. Improve overall site ranking by improving SEO (reduce site load speed, research long tail keywords with good demands, improve CTR, etc.)

I've some basics in SEO, but nowhere near decent. I'll dedicate at least 30-45 minutes a day to mastering SEO for this month using the resources within WA.
